altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jun 22, 2009 Bottle at home. Orange body with very thin head. Strong herbal nose. Spicy taste. Also sweet with caramel and malts. Watery texture. Decent. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 22, 2009 Bright slight clear orange brew, nice off white cap with good retention and lots of ropy lacing. The aroma was strong, herbal , spcy, floral, a bit Christmasy and peat moss. The taste seems fresh with lots of spice...in fact the flavour is mainly spice with orange peel, pepper and no alcohol at all. Comes across a bit too carbonated and foamy...a touch watery. Finishes with an aftertaste very similar to the flavour. brewblackhole (1366), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Jun 20, 2009 Aroma wa flowery for a little bit,got some kind of metallic thing, very light and clear, taste was a pleasant surprise, almost reminded me of a slightly sweet jasmine tea, malting all very light ,as was the hopping, taste is soft and strangely pleasant,i think this Heather dominates . A cute little surprise xs2500 (90), Mississippi, USA Jun 11, 2009 Pours a hazey yellowish color with a thin head that grows then dissipates. Aroma is nice, but taste is salty with hints of yeast and floral like flavor. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but I was not impressed nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Jun 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours ruby with a small, white head. The aroma is spice, earth, pine needles and herbal notes. The flavour takes on the same character with the malt balancing the beer out nicely. Medium bodied and it’s actually quite hoppy, finishing in a sweet bitterness. Something different but drinkable, it’s fantastic to see the traditional ales after all this time alive and well. Great beer. FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jun 6, 2009 Pours a bright brass color with a small white head. Nose is sweet, yeasty, and slightly floral. Taste is sweet, slightly tart, with subtle caramel and piney, herbal notes. Finish consists of the lingering herbal components of the flavor and some slight tartness. Cirrhosis (607), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 5, 2009 Yet an other expired beer, from my Scottish multi pack. Looks like shyte, nasty looking grey flakes in a light brown cloudy body, with no head or carbonation showing. Smell was sweet coffee mixed flowers, ok smelling but bland. Taste was all right roasted malts coffee, flowers and a nuttiness, taste better then I thought it would. Mouth fell is thin and flat most likely due to the expired bottle. This beer was vile but I had it before and enjoyed it, so if you can find a non expired bottle drink it if its past its prime let it go l1br4r14n (274), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 3, 2009 Aroma of sweet malt and honey. Pours cloudy dark yellow with a head that completely disappears. Flavor is spice, a little citrus, grassy bitterness, honey, all over a malt backbone. Interesting beer.
