| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Yet an other expired beer, from my Scottish multi pack. Looks like shyte, nasty looking grey flakes in a light brown cloudy body, with no head or carbonation showing. Smell was sweet coffee mixed flowers, ok smelling but bland. Taste was all right roasted malts coffee, flowers and a nuttiness, taste better then I thought it would. Mouth fell is thin and flat most likely due to the expired bottle. This beer was vile but I had it before and enjoyed it, so if you can find a non expired bottle drink it if its past its prime let it go l1br4r14n (275), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Pours cloudy dark yellow with a head that completely disappears. Flavor is spice, a little citrus, grassy bitterness, honey, all over a malt backbone. Interesting beer. An interesting beer and I think the only one with heather in it that I’ve ever tasted. Poured light copper. Tastes of pine, citrus, and slight spiciness. Maybe a little on the thin side. theisti (1650), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2009 11.2 fl oz royal. Best before Oct 2007 notched on the label. Pour is hazed orange golden with a bunch of floaties, and a one inch light tan head. Aroma of malty, roasty earthiness - the moss peat as expected. Nice herbal floral notes. Really soft and inviting nose. Taste is the musty, earthy, peaty, slightly sweet floral of the nose. There is also a bit of butterscotch citrus sweetness present. Really layered flavors, nicely integrated. Palate is medium, drying, yet coats the mouth pleasantly. This really attacked the palate despite the lower abv. Interesting and enjoyable beer. I need to grab a fresher bottle and see what the age did to this. dwaggs2 (534), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2009 Light copper brown beer with quite big blond head. Aroma is quite great, balanced with something exotic, "sweet pine needles", bitterness and some cinnamon? Flavour is more simple than aroma, but still quite similar: dry, pine needles and old-fashioned style. Nice and balanced to drink. Different beer with interesting "exotic", definitety worth to dry.
