Very fragrant floral aroma with some ginger notes as well. Pleasant mouthfeel, leaves a nice aftertaste. Flavor has the same ginger elements, I’m sure it is heather, just never had heather before! Also detect a bit of spearmint in the back end as well. Not your everyday quaffing ale, but a nice diversion. ogivlado (3088), Zagreb, Croatia

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Golden with a white head. It looked, in fact, like a typical international lager. Actually it tasted a bit like one, except it wasn’t bitter enough and had a slight aroma and taste of malt and dried grass. It wasn’t bad, but I refuse to believe this thoroughly modern session beer resembles whatever Stone Age brew the ancient Gaels drank. This is another example of spurious historical associations and ’heritage’ so beloved by Britsh brewers. Jukkabro (3039), Tampere, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Dark orange colored, slightly hazy appearance. Little thick white head. Interesting aroma with spices and herbs, even some whiskey-oaky tone comes up. Fruits and some honey also in sweet aroma, also some radlery-lemon here, complex aroma indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is also somehow sour with this fruity-herbal touch, aftertaste dries with still this sour herbal-caramel biting. Some metal and lemon in aftertaste also. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2003 Nice aroma. I like a beer that calls out to you like a genie when you uncap it. Slightly cloudy. Does almost look like a cider. Smooth palate. Kind of like a tame Belgian without the alcohol or deeper flavour characteristics. Although lighter, the spiciness and heather flavours are intriguing and make it worth buying another bottle. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Oct 18, 2008 Yuck. Cloudy gold color. Aroma is very weak and not interesting. I know they used some cool ingredients in this one, but it doesnt smell or taste like it. Flavor is very boring and I don’t find it pleasant. Taste is grainy and odd and just poor.
