Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered
Brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. heather ale is probably the oldest style of ale still produced in the world. From an ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) it has been revived and reintroduced to the Scottish culture.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.
A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt charachter, a spicy herbal flavour and dry wine like finish.
Recommended with rich and Spicy foods.
Drink slightly chilled from a fluted glass.

Remembering all those beers gives me like vomit feelings. IT was nice, and very crafty too. But this Ales are very heavy.

Bottle. A gorgeous orange copper with a foamy white head that quickly laced. A sweet caramel and honey aroma with a slight floral and spice bouquet. The flavor is glamorous and a little dry with a bit of grass and cleansing effect.

Bottle. Copper-amber color with medium head. Extraordinary flowery aroma with sweet honey, herbs, light acidity and strawberry. Dryer, flowery and woody flavor. A bit flat flavor after such an intriguing aroma.

"It looks pretty," said the young clerk, scanning my bottle, "is it good?" Good only begins to describe this beauty, and while the label is among the best designs in the world of beer, prettiness continues on every aspects of this classic ale. Color is a rich orange, and the head is moderate, off-whitish. Aroma is refreshing and upliftingly lovely : honey, foremost, and flowers, roses, herbal, vegetal, fresh, and sweet. Light in body, but full in flavor, incomparably smooth in taste. Perfect balance. Solid malt, less hops, but the heather and honey flavor make up for lack of hoppiness, and make for a perfectly delightful beverage. The taste is so light, sweet, and utterly ethereal, this belongs in a class of it’s own. Lovely, full texture, honey, citrus shining through with every sip! Perfect with food, dessert, or when you deserve a reward for being an exceptional example of humankind.

Very flat looking, golden bronze body with a touch of green. Sweet, I couldn’t have too many, almost port like.

Medium to light orange, some faint specks of floaties, not a bad head. Big malty nose, notes of molasses. Flavor is utterly different. Caramel accented malts move quickly into a lightly floral and bitter finish. A bit of an herbal flavor lingers in the mouth long afterwards. Interesting stuff. I really like trying these recreation styles.

Dull orange body with a loose, soapy white head. Aroma of butterscotch, light caramel, corn syrup, and mild herbal notes. Palt malt flavor with a light crystal component. Moderately sweet and honey-like with apple notes, a touch of sweet nectarine, building herbal spice, and very low bitterness. Medium to medium-thin body. A light, easy-drinking beer with some subtle intrigue but nothing especially enthralling.

An amber pour with sweet honey malt nose. Dry grainy malt body. Smooth finish.
