| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Old bottle from 2005, freebie thanks to my favorite local bottle retailer. Strong aroma of honey when you pop the lid. I always thought lambic was the oldest style beer but this says this style was brewed clear back in 2000BC! Tastes allot more like conventional pale yellow american than lambic does, that’s fer sure. I’m not sure about what heather tastes or smells like but I don’t detect anything in here except beer and honey in the aroma and.... some kinda spice in the flavors. Oh, yes, I do get that dry white wine effect on the finish, it’s funny how much it feels like a watered down wine on the finish. Very mild carbonation but it sure is present. Could this simply be a very mild mead? Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 22, 2002 Updated: Feb 22, 2003Lagerish appearance with little bubbles floating to the top like willy wonka's friend charlie chasing the fizzy lifting drink, head was, uh, I forgot, it disappeared too quickly, aroma was a damn strange sweetness with hoppy round-a-bouts, flowers definately dominated my first impression of the flavor, very reminiscent of pine needles and after the initial sip I noticed the pine/flowerness in the aroma, Very floral and unique in a good way, Overall impression is: PINEY Re-Rate: Burnt grizzleness was all over the aroma, the flavor and the finish?? It still contributed to a unique experience though, so I cannot be too cruel.. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Pours a light golden/orange sort of color. Aroma is sweet and somewhat malty. Some kind of a fruity like aroma as well. Flavor seems to be mostly sweet and malty. Slightly bitter finish. Also seems fairly rich and slightly roasty. Tastes like a good ESB or something along those lines. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
