There is an interesting flavour that I presume is from the heather. A pleasant beer. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2003 Updated: Jun 4, 2003This brew poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized off white bubbles. It has a cloudy amber brown body with some carbonation clinging to the side of the glass. It had a smooth malty initial taste with some, but not much tang to the finish. It was very smooth with a good full bodied flavor. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2007 This poured from the 11.2oz bottle with a pleasant warm orange color and a well-former white topping of white bubbles. There’s a nice little flowery aroma that you’d expect from a beer made with heather. The flavors are bolder and brighter than I might expect ... very much flowery, almost mulchy! Herbal and green, I feel like yelling some William Wallace quote. Beauty. (#2687, 2/6/2007) sayravai (3733), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2009 (Bottled, sampled earlier when RB was broken) Clear, deep golden with a small, firm and partly lasting head. Mild aroma of nutty conifer tree, citrusness, berries, and a hint of pineapple. Toffee-malty, nutty-hoppy flavor with citrusy fruitiness, junipery resin, and slightly gingery-burning in the aftertaste. Ligt to medium, slightly thin body with medium carbonation. Overall a pleasant, easily drinkable brew with personality. Pretty mild, though. Rciesla (3686), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Some burnt malt, spice of pepper and cinnamon, and the floral herbal finish playing a huge role. Something different but not for me. joss (3675), Garching b. München, Germany

Somewhat disappointing flavor: Light straw and cookie malt, light heather bitterness. Lightbodied, mellow. Fairly dead aftertaste. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
