awebster (165), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 30, 2005 I like it. It’s a different beer, the heather really adds something to it. It’s very drinkable, light and slightly sweet, with a wonderful nose. rothycat (2), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada does not count Jan 24, 2007 One of my top 5 favorite beer! It only comes in "gift pack" here in Ottawa (Canada). I love both Fraoch and Grozet. PieTaster (32), Humpton, California, USA Sep 21, 2002 I love this beer. Light to medium body, semi sweet maltiness, covered with a lovely floral accent. Proof is in the pudding. It doesn’t have to have a million frickin’ IBU’s to be good. DUBWICHT (7), Canada does not count Mar 15, 2005 Very unique tasting beer. Very smooth with a unique floral flavor. Nice color and low carbination. Very refreshing and excellent tasting. drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Mar 2, 2005 What a beer! First of all, it’s that it’s made at all - using heather instead of hops. Not what I would have thought as being floral. It has a nice persistant head. Very spicy aroma. The flavor is a mixture of malt, hint of alcohol, some bitterness, marmalade, yeast. Funky color. Nice lace. got this in a beer of the month but they have it also at the Bodega downtown here in La Crosse. flowerysong (25), USA Jul 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear, coppery gold with three fingers of white head that quickly subsides to a thin froth. Lots of carbonation evident.
Smell: Floral and sweet, with heather notes evident.
Taste: Sweet flavourful malt fading into an herbal heather middle, with honeyed citrus coming through in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp taste with snappy carbonation.
Drinkability: Givvus another, willya? Extremely drinkable.
shorlin (373), St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada Oct 3, 2000 Interesting, lots of taste. Malty, flowery. Definite red wine aftertaste.
