| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 14, 2008 Pours a standard orangy amber with a heterogeneous white head. The nose is a bit dusty. Deeper, a bit grainy, with some chocolatey aspects. On the tongue this is a bit of the fuller smoother side, perhaps attributable to the wheat. The flavor is very dusty! The fruit comes out a bit more, but the chocolate is hardly to be seen. Rather mediocre. The biggest flaw is the dusty flavor that I’ve gotten from all their beers so far. Tastes a lot like heath, I guess that’s the bogmyrtle. zebracakes (1216), Washington DC, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jan 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a greenish orangish hue, white head. Aroma is fruit, sugar, malt, floral. It sort of smells like boiling wort; a bit raw and not blended. Flavor is the same and quite grain oriented. I can’t say that I care for this beer, or the brewery, but at least the concoctions they come up with are somewhat unique. matt7215 (996), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Bottle. Medium-gold. Berryfruit-first aroma, plus distant malt and lemon. The gooseberry adds a subtle, acidic nuance. Not much umph in the flavour but nonetheless enjoyable, with some fruitiness and a steely finish. Quite refreshing – would make a nice summer sipper. almosi (279), Viña del Mar, Chile
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Has a amber color, very turbid. Very few head. The aroma is sweet, with some species in the fund, probably some another vegetable. The good body. The flavor is sweet, much caramel and berries. The finish is good, not too sweet or bitter, with an agreeable aftertaste. Heathen (810), Riverside, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2007 THOUGHTS: Had a skunked variety four pack of these beers last year and didn’t rate them. This one was a much nicer beer than the skunked version.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark yellow with a brown cloudiness (slightly hazy) to it with a small sudsy, white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was wheat and a fruitiness that must have been gooseberry. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly acidic, while the finish was moderately sweet lightly acidic and sour with an average duration. The light to medium body was dry on the front of the tongue then watery with lightly fizzy carbonation and a moderately astringent finish. cheapdark (2048), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2007 11 oz brown bottle. Aroma is just barely noticeable tart. Pale yellow with no head and it appears to be ubiquitous filtered american lager. Taste has very little sour goose berries in there. A little disappointing for I was expecting some kind of sour or tart burst. Also, there is not much here that resembles a wheat beer. Pretty much just a mild fruit beer. Has decent carbonation. Finish is not bad and is generally very acceptable. Overall not a really impressive beer but I’m glad I had the chance to go for it. Better than average, I was just expecting something more tart for some reason.
