Poured a bright golden ale into the glass with a 3 finger rocky cap that laces well.
Aromas of cracked grain and botanicals with a wonderful musty-woody tone.
Primal malt spine, medium body, herbal-herbacious malty character in a mellow lagered capsule.
As advertised: frontside is a montage of hard cereals, wild botanicals and a nice hop presense.....carries through and developes mid palate...finishes wet with a nice mellon-like taste.
The brewer has obviously acheived their objective of mingling native Sctotish herbs/plants with traditional brews...very nice delivery. thewolf (5803), Kolding, Denmark

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Bottle. Sounds exotic but in fact tastes very boring. Not sure what gooseberries taste like but I couldn’t taste anything interesting that might have been them. Too weak and watery for my liking. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Ale that pours golden straw into the glass. No retentive head, but leaves trace bubbles to the glass. The nose is of mash, sour grain and yeast. The tongue picks up sour grains, yeast, wheat, and nice blueberry on the back palate. The mouthfeel is light, but not thin or watery. It’s ok, but almost a direct cross between a Sour Flemish Ale, American Hefe, and Fruit Beer. A traditional ale, I’d call it not. Certainly ok to sample, but not one I’m going to go out and search for again. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 25, 2006 Bottle, Liquid Solutions. Pours a light amber color with little carbonation. Subdued earthy aroma. Interesting taste of a slightly berry-like fruit along with A hint of grain. Easy to drink, but none of the flavors really jump out at you. A hint of tart towards the finish. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Bottle: Cloudy gold color with several larger white bubbles around the edge. It displays sweet aroma of ginger, wintergreen. The tastes are similar, not that good. It reminds me of one of the Sam Adams patriot brews that I didn’t like very much. I have no doubt that this copies a recipe using cereal, wild herbs and ripe fruit. It actually tastes more like some exotic herbal tea instead of beer. Tmoney99 (4775), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
