Feb 11, 2005 Orange-yellow with a reddish tinit. No head. Smells sweet, fruity, and kinda plain. Flavor is slightly skunky and has a weird slightly fruited flavor, but not really a fruit you’d want in your mouth. Odd, not great.

Feb 7, 2005 Pale yellow with very slight white head. The aroma is complicated. Tart with grape, honey and lemon notes. Slightly acidic at first, but quickly mellowing with a long lightly sweet finish. Thin and quenching, this is a unique brew with a pleasant, and not overpoweriung fruit aspect. Drink with a salad or other light meal. Would not stand up to harsh flavors.

Jan 27, 2005 in the 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow. Has a white poofy head of substance. this head lingers until the beer is done. Fruity aroma. smells like honey. Does indeed taste like gooseberries, but it is not an overpowering gooseberry flavor. It has only a mild sweetness and mild tartness, reminiscent of the fruit. Very drinkable and delightful.

Jan 17, 2005 Bottle. Pours a very pale yellow like an ordinary pale lager, but hazy. The nose is mainly gooseberries with a touch of malt. The taste is rather simple, but very refreshing with a strong initial taste of berries, but little to offer in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Jan 12, 2005 Hazy pale gold body topped with a thick and lasting white foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with gooseberries and herbal notes. Well-balanced and very refreshing taste. Unfortunately, it lacks some strenght and only leaves a timid bitter/bready aftertaste. Enjoyable average summer fruitbeer. Thank you PrimeMinister!

Jan 3, 2005 Real hazy light wheat color with a bright white head. Fruity wheat aroma, somewhat yeasty. Sharp fruit flavor and a little acidic. Sweetness appears later with the wheat aftertaste. A little watery, a little bitter. Expected a little more flavor, stays mellow but yet refreshing. A nice beer but needs more.

Jan 1, 2005 Draught, Bon Accord, Glasgow. Wee correction for austinpowers - all Heather Ales use hops. They just use other stuff as well. Light gold. Good 1/4" head. In the draught version this tastes like a pleasant light bodied bitter with a little fruit. Refreshing.
