Pours a dark murky brown color with small mostly white head that leaves pretty quick. Nose filled with a smooth delicous vanilla, bourbon notes, caramel, some cherry even, and oak. Flavor wise, man I may go to a 10. The vanilla mixes sowell with the bourbon and cherry and the tiny hints of alcohol are truly pleasent. yespr (12345), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Pours hazy brown to light orange and with a fully diminshed white head. Berry fruity aroma into a whiskey like aroma. Flavour is quite sweet and dried fruity. Almost syrup like feel and flavour. Ends with a lingering sweet fruity tone. Nice. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Draught at Blind Tiger. 2005 vintage keg. Poured murky dark amber/brown. A minimal head is created when the glass is swirled. Aromas of caramelized sugar and bourbony components--vanilla, charred wood, with some chocolate and even a bit of toasted coconut. Sweet toffee malts infused with the essence of the smoky barrel wood and remaining bourbon notes infused therein. Earthy, slightly bacony finish. Everything seems to have aged and mellowed into a pure basic confluence of sweet malt and bourbon cask extracts. Any hoppiness and harsh booziness seem to have pretty much disappated. Pretty nice overall, even though I’ve never really gotten into the whole BA thing. Ungstrup (15371), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Bottled. An unclear amber beer with an orange-tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood and vanilla with an underlying acidity. The flavor is sweet wooy with notes of prunes, over ripe fruit, vanilla, and some hops, leading to a dry finish with some acidity showing up. The alcohol burns slightly in the throat. Strong oaky aroma, mellow, with sweet tobacco. Sweet brew, with an interesting woody and vanilla flavor, full malty, with a light sourness that I have to understand if it’s nice or disturbing. Inprecise, but overall, deeply pleasant for me.
