Musty pear and orange flavor. Alcohol content quite noticeable, Leaves nothing on the palate. If this is representative of the style, I’m not a fan. Since the brewer is out of business and has been for some time, I’m guessing it is just this beer, I look forward to trying another. BREWMUSKCLES (1078), New Jersey, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Bottle sent to me in a trade from SpringsLicker. Thanks for the incredible generosity. It is that kind of generosity that makes people enjoy this hobby so much! My 7th Biere de Garde Rating...Championship! Beer pours a hazy golden yellow with a nice fizzy head. THe aroma is a mix of sweet bread, cereal grain malts with some spice and a nice citrus profile. Nice light pale malty sweetness followed by a little oxidation that seemed to do this one well. Light citrus, other sweet fruity flavors. Nice carbonation, drank well. Was very enjoyable. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA
