Aroma of brett plus a hint of what I can only describe as somewhat rotten fruit. Notes of brett/barnyard, sourness, tart cherry fruitiness, a hint f lemon and some toastiness. Light bodied - well attenuated with light carbonation. Interesting stuff. argo0 (6982), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is medium sweet, brett, caramel, brown sugar, some cherry, light Bourbon, cinnamon. Taste is medium sweet, brett/cherry, caramel. Medium body with no carbonation. Alas, I fear that this beer is showing its age. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Inviting and interesting nose of bourbon, wood, liqueur, and the chewiness of Munich malts. Sweet, pale, peppery on the tongue, then turns a little lactic with a mildly stinging spiciness. A bit thin in the back, but otherwise it’s a crazy-good beer. Weird stuff, but good. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Poured from a 750. Reddish brown and mainly clear pour. Rotten banana peel, old cherries, and bretty funk aroma. Pungent and slightly awkward. Fully soured flavor retaining that trashy stink; banana sugars, cocoa powder, lemon juice. Strange, and intensely acidic; juicy palate is undercarbonated with a soft acetic bite. Finishes with old orange juice, more brett, and a subdued lick of salt on the very back end. The affliction of that foul disposition never fully resigns itself, but altogether this remains an interesting example, satiating in its own somewhat foreign way. Thanks for sharing, Kevin! As many good things. thins sadly is not brewed anymore. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
