Commercial Description:
Leftovers ... We aged some Chuck (sort of a brown-bretty) in wooden barrels with sour cherries for six months. It emerged with a somewhat subdued brett presence but tastes more like a flemish sour. 6.4% abv. (33 cases in 750ml)

Bottle, courtesy of Eclectic. Dark clear bronze with a white ring around the glass. Aroma of brett plus a hint of what I can only describe as somewhat rotten fruit. Notes of brett/barnyard, sourness, tart cherry fruitiness, a hint f lemon and some toastiness. Light bodied - well attenuated with light carbonation. Interesting stuff.

(11/3/07, 750ml bottle, thanks eclectic) Minimal beige head with clear copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, brett, caramel, brown sugar, some cherry, light Bourbon, cinnamon. Taste is medium sweet, brett/cherry, caramel. Medium body with no carbonation. Alas, I fear that this beer is showing its age.

Raisin colored red and brown body with no head. Inviting and interesting nose of bourbon, wood, liqueur, and the chewiness of Munich malts. Sweet, pale, peppery on the tongue, then turns a little lactic with a mildly stinging spiciness. A bit thin in the back, but otherwise it’s a crazy-good beer. Weird stuff, but good.

Poured from a 750. Reddish brown and mainly clear pour. Rotten banana peel, old cherries, and bretty funk aroma. Pungent and slightly awkward. Fully soured flavor retaining that trashy stink; banana sugars, cocoa powder, lemon juice. Strange, and intensely acidic; juicy palate is undercarbonated with a soft acetic bite. Finishes with old orange juice, more brett, and a subdued lick of salt on the very back end. The affliction of that foul disposition never fully resigns itself, but altogether this remains an interesting example, satiating in its own somewhat foreign way. Thanks for sharing, Kevin!

(Thanx to Jeppe august ´07 at Ølbaren, Jannik og Bagers bon voyage party) Again, I hardly wrote anything about this, it just ran through me like fluid love; really nice flemish thing, some what sweet but with a tang and that wooden feel to it. As many good things. thins sadly is not brewed anymore.

Bottle. Murky brown reddish in colour with almost no head. A bit malty with notes of berries, wood and caramel. Nice dry tartness.
