Commercial Description:
Leftovers ... We aged some Chuck (sort of a brown-bretty) in wooden barrels with sour cherries for six months. It emerged with a somewhat subdued brett presence but tastes more like a flemish sour. 6.4% abv. (33 cases in 750ml)

Bottle: Burnt caramel, moderate to large light beige foamy head, so-so lacing.   Aroma is to die for, oak and sour cherries.   One of the better aromas I have had in any beer for a while.   Unfortunately the tongue is quite subtle and soft, not nearly as dry as I would have thought.   Light oak and unripened cherries, albeit the cherry aspect is very minimal.   Fades quickly, leaving only a smidgen of sourness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, albeit a bit light for a Flemish Sour.   Had this been a bit more flavorful and dry, I would have scored it much higher.   Still happy I was able to try this rare brew.   Much thanks to Eyedrinkale for unexpectantly throwing this one in our trade!

750 ml- Dark reddish color with little head. Tastes almost like a cherry medicine. Slightly sour. Just OK to me.

Bottle acquired from Lou18 in a trade. Thanks Lou! Murky ruby brown body with only random bubbles floating on the surface. Nose is very tart! Wet wood, horseblanket, vinegar notes, sour fruits, and damp basement. Very nice! Taste is a bit of a letdown. The sour fruits and wood notes come through just fine but they seem subdued a bit. The cherries dance on the tongue while mingling with Bretty notes, light earth notes, and damp wood. The body is too thin as well. While this tends too lean towards the style, it’s just doesn’t have enough "umph" to the body. Finishes with more tart fruit notes, wood, damp basement, Balsamic vinger notes. Not a bad beer, by any means, but it’s missing a bit to put it over the top.

(750ml bottle) Pours a murky reddish-brown body with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma of cocoa, oak, cherry, and a hint of smoke. Flavor of malt and brett. Thanks for sharing Walt!

A very deep red beer with a thin tan head. Aromas of butter and crud surrounds a brett charastic. Lovely taste fills the mouth. Flavours of brett are subtle and accompanied by a mild citrus, possibly due to the acidity.

Brought this to gputty’s Friday tasting. Obtained via trade with Lou18 - thanks Lou! Pours an extremely murky brown with no head whatsoever.Nose is sweet, slightly rotten fruit. Like when you walk past a cherry tree in the summer that has a load of fruit around it on the ground is various states. Flavor is slightly blander than expected, sour fruit. Body is flat and watery. Finish is very tart, then GONE! Mild dryness is left behind, with a slight tannic flavor. Strange brew...
