Flavor was more wood with even more funk. First good sour of the night. Yummy wetherel (1033), Carlsbad, California, USA Sep 21, 2008 tried at Another Santee Sampling. this time at toncatcher’s house. The name reminds me of the chiapet song. Cloudy dark amber color with light brown head. Buttery funky arouna. Tart taste. Dryish. padrefan98 (643), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Sep 21, 2008 9/20/2008 tasting at toncatchers house, with whetheral, weeheavy, fordest, alohac, and Jason. Thanks for all the great beers and good times. I thought this was really good despite talk of oxidation. Maybe it wasn’t as bad as previous bottles? WeeHeavySD (1849), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 21, 2008 Actually first new rating of Toncatcher’s tasting. I brought this bottle that I got via trade a ways back. AlohaC had issues with the last bottle he opened of this a year or so back but I have to say this was good despite partial oxidation. Pours brownish with a tan head. Nose was oxidized but tart and strong. Taste was sweet and tart and funky, slightly oxidized but still good with a nice lingering fruitness.
