| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2005 Bottle... Muddy, light brown ale with a large, fizzy, tan/orange head. The breadsy, spicy nose releases tart notes of cola nut and lemon. Perfectly balanced, dry and tart. Light-bodied and fizzy. Lengthy, tart, dry finish. Don’t buy it expecting a true, English brown ale. Very Flemish. Thanks go out to growler for sharing the bottle. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2005 Murky brown with a huge overcarbonated head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of sour apple, apricot, banana, floral hops, toasted malt, and quite earthy yeast esters. The taste start with sweet and sour fruit notes with an undertone of malts. The finish is a touch yeasty and a hint of nutty quality. The feel is quite lively and a bit chalky. Good brew once you can pour it. egajdzis (3631), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a hazy brown color with a small off white head and light lacing on the glass. Caramel, toffee and oak aroma. Sweet caramel, roast, and finishing a light, grassy, bitterness, though also rather dry and earthy. Just OK, I would imagine the post-brett Chuck is better. Good moderately dark pour, woody brown and deep yellows mix, lightly hazy with a small yellow head. Aroma of light wood, balsamic vinegar and a hint of brown sugar. Flavor is tremendously to style, with plenty of cedar, balsa and vinegar notes. Dry on the finish, with a light yeast apparency. Has lightly sweet brown malts up front, with just an immense deep wood feel on the end. Balsa wood lingers forever. Medium bodied, not terribly sour, more a moderate bitterness in the middle/end. Notes of tobacco, brown sugar and light toffee. Dickinsonbeer (3497), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Last HWOH. I think cornboy brought this. This is a flemish wild/brown ale with tons of wild yeas tand bacteria character. Aroma is pretty much straight up blue cheese- funky, stinky cheese, tons of brett horseblanket as well. Flavor is slightly sour, funky, yeasty, doughy, musty and old with lightt oxidation/cardboard. More blue cheese as well. Fizzy carbonation due to lots of refermentation in the bottle, but settles after a while. Pretty good- real funky though. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Murky brown color with aroma of butter, malt and coriander and white pepper. Taste is too buttery for my liking but Tom said it tasted how it was supposed to, so there ya go. Light and drinkable and I’d have more if it wasn’t so buttery.
