Sep 10, 2005 Cloudy orange color with a medium head. Strong malty aroma. Mmmmm... tastes a little like bacon and smoked ham. Medium smokiness to the entire taste; not overboard.

Sep 5, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of Jsquire. Excellent aroma of smoked cheese. Pours a cloudy yellowish-orange with a decent white head. Instant smokey flavor up front with a light fruitiness and yeastiness in the finish. Hints of bitterness are present in the middle and then quickly disappear. Very nice.

Hazy orange hue with a big fizzy head and produced very nice lacing. The aroma has notes of smoked malts and cheese, earthy and grassy as well. The taste starts with surprising light fruit tone and some sweet malts to balance with the smoked flavors. It is not over-the-top like many smoked beers, quite mild really. This is a darn nice beer, I really liked it more than expected. Give it a try. (what is that goat really smoking?)

Sep 4, 2005 Really nice aroma. Smoky malt. The smoke is very prominent but well blended into the beer. I found the aroma a bit better than the flavor, but it’s still quite tasty.

Sep 3, 2005 Poured a murky dark orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma has plenty of smoke with caramel malt poking through. Malty, caramel, and sweet with just the right amount of smoke mixed in. Tasty and balanced in both flavor and aroma.

Pours a lovely amber / copper body and a wispy ring of tan head along the shell of the glass. The aroma and flavor are freaking sensational…. A nice molasses like sweetness caramel, toffee, campfire, oak chips, reminisce of beef jerky …. GOD I LOVE THIS! A little black pepper corn, stewed vegetables and corned beef… stewed carrots, celery, buttered red potato’s????? Ahhh….writing this has made me SO freaking hungry! An awfully lovely beer… I have very much enjoyed this experience!!!

Aug 31, 2005 Pours deep amberish orange with almost no head. Aroma is vegetables and peaty malt. Taste is sweet and malty. Not much for hops, a little smokey aftertaste. Not the best beer in my book, but a unique one for sure.
