Commercial Description:
Cinderbock is a bock-style beer brewed with German smoked and munich malts. It's fermented with a classic Bavarian lager yeast and cold-conditioned for five weeks. The result is a malty, clean tasting lager laced with smoke and intrigue.

golden-orange, somewhat cloudy. Excellent white head, lasted well into the glass. Smoked peat smell, to match the taste. Lingering somewhat sweet smoked malt finish complemented with some hop bitterness. Solid mouthfeel that stays on the tongue.

Hazy, deep, dark golden lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is of smoke, peat, beef jerky and butterscotch. Smells like a mild rauchbier. Well-balanced flavor with lots of smoked malt, a touch of honey and bitter, citrusy hops. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, smoky, earthy, woodsy finish. I really like this beer!

actually, i was disappointed in this beer. the taste was clearly carefully crafted, but i found it too much for one bottle. and i love the schlenkerla stuff. suppose the syrupy malt taste of a bock was too present when mixed with the smokiness. as with all smoked beers i've had, you stop noticing it as much after the first few sips.

Poured a golden color with a nice white head and lacing. Spicy aroma with a dry citrus taste.

Extreme Beer Fest '04: Cloudy golden brown. Looks like a hefe. Aroma is smokey, but the taste isn't really at all. It's sweet and malty, but nothing too special.

Thanks to Yogi_Beera for this beauty. It's a nice opaque brown pour with a medium white head. The aroma is smokey. and the flavor is sweet and clean. I enjoyed this very much

As Popeye said "I am what I am" this beer is as decribed. Brownish or maybe copper colored. Aroma is carmel, carmel, some smoke and did I say carmel? Very sweet. It pretty much is what it ought to be. Excellent smoked Dobblebock!
