Smoke eventually develops, climbing out over toasted oatmeal. Amber-tinted brown with a foam of off-white. Flavor is an airy waif of seductive nut qualtieis. Tons of praline. Pan roasted oats. Bits of floral fruits. The carbonation is over the top, but helps bring forth nuances in this beer. Kashi. A ton of complexity and perfumey sweetness. Some high alcohols climb through. Whoppers. Tahooey hazlenut truffles. Mace and hickory. One word that really encompasses this beer is "tiramisu". Some nips of prosciutto salt on the backend. Beautiful. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA

Aroma is of coffee with milk--nice. Monstrous pillowy head sits atop a reddish brown body that lets just a little light pass through. The palate is full for a brown, very creamy and has noticeable carbonation. The flavor is a very creamy coffee with just a hint of chocolate. Some cinnamon can be detected as it warms. Very pleasant flavor. This is an excellent brown. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2007 Bottle: Muddy caramel, quite thick, HUGE rocky off-white head, spotty lacing.   Nose of roasted malts, campfire, with a slight
earthen Necco wafer like sweetness.   Very airy in the mouth.   Soft roasted malts, pale fruit skin, slight sweet & low like
sweetness, very subtle sourness.   *burp*   For a Brown Ale it sure is light, airy, bubbley...   It doesn’t appear lactic, but
the amount of foam produced when poured is tremendous.   Doesn’t appear infected, or at least if it is then its the beginning stages.
Moderate body, mouthfeel very airy.   Finishes lightly toasted, ash, some diet cola.   Yea, this is an odd duck.   Tiz
okay, but not really my idea of a Brown Ale.   Thanks Paul for this rare item!

Pours a hazy light brown color with a huge ass light tan head. Very lively carbonation. After 5 minutes I scooped the head off so I could drink the damn beer. Nice lacing. Has a fairly strong roasted malt aroma. Flavor is roasted malt and light coffee. Has a light fizzy and slightly bitter palate. Medium body. One of the better Brown ales I’ve had. Thanks Steve. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

Pours brown with a huge white head that takes forever and a day to settle. Smells of nuts, coffee, chocolate, lots of roasty character that begs constant revisits. Taste is of coffee and chocolate, but they are in perfect balance. Lots of tartness emerges as the beer warms. There’s some sugar and cinnamon on the finish that compliments a hearty malty finish. This is a keeper! CaptainCougar (5526), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of muddy earthy dark caramel malts and dryer maple toffee. Body starts airy and dry with some earthy chocolate roasty notes and a touch of grassy hops and bready yeast. A unique brew, but over-attenuated.
