The aroma is of peach and spices - of which coriander stands out. The flavor is very spicy, but also with notes of peaches and caramel, leading to an end where the hops dries out the mouth. argo0 (6964), Washington DC, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Pours a dark golden with a thick frothy white head. Aroma has some Belgian yeasty notes but gets overcome by an off-smelling citric acidity. Had a nice texture for a while, but kinda thinned as it warmed, giving way to some more of the acidity. Needs to be bolder and more balanced, but has some authentic Belgian taste to it. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Pours a hazy golden hue with a lasting head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of bubblegum, floral and herbal hops, honeydew, anise and corriander, orange zest, sublime brett character, and oh did I say bubblegum? The taste starts with a wonderful apple twang followed closely by bready yeasty character. The finish is quite peppery and even a a touch woody even though I don’t think it is barrel aged. The feel is lively and refreshing, very carbonated. This beer was a bit of a shocker, didn’t think it would be so good. Yummy and would like to try it again. I guess Pailhead would agree... goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2004 750ml bottle (thanks eyedrinkale). Poured a very hazy brownish-orange. and a huge head with lacing as I drank it down. Aroma is mildly sour with notes of leather, barnyard, and oranges. Flavor starts tangy, lemony but not real sour. A little sweet at the end before it leaves you with a medium bitter/spicy finish. The finish is light and refreshing.
