Commercial Description:
It was made with the able bodies from the PALE ALES (that's the Princeton And Local Environs Ale & Lager Enjoyment Society). Together, we brewed an assertive Pilsner-style lager made with a goodly amount of rye malt. Five varieties of hops were used, including one of the members' Jersey-grown hops.

Bottle: Milky straw in color, very thick and solid looking.   Large fluffy white head, very sticky lacing.   This looks very big, and quite different for a Pilsner.   Yeasty nose, nearly bready, very slight dull floral aspect.   Has a slight basement funk, musty.   Heavy malt sweetness up front, nearly bready, slight floral and caramel notes.   This is one big Pils.   I guess the style is European Strong Lager... which makes more sense.   7.3% for a Pilsner doesn’t make sense.   Big in body, mouthfeel is moderate to full.   Soft hop bitterness, very soft.   Finishes very clean.   Lingering caramel like maltiness.   Pretty enjoyable this one is.   Thanks Paul for yet another Heavyweight!

Bottle ocurtesy of jhop, thanks! Orange-yellow pour with a white head. Aroma of orange zest, some light citrus hops and pale malt. Flavors of orange and lemon zest, some pale malt. Lively carbonation though malty throughout...bitter/dry finish.

Had at columbus tasting #6. Poured very cloudy with no head at all. Aroma was a lot of euro hops and a light maltiness. Pretty good overall.

750 split two ways. Golden in color with a large, frothy off white head that is slow to recede. Aroma is sweet malts, grain, rye, and some earthy hops. Taste is sweet malts, honey, notes of rye, with a lightly bitter earthy finish. pretty good overall.

Slightly sweet malt aroma comes from a cloudy yellow body. Medium palate. Lightly hopped and yeasty with a good malt presence. Not the best heavyweight beer I’ve had.

bottle- Pours a hazy deep ruby brown almost like thin maple syrup with a large head that has calmed down quite a bit in the past few seconds.... smells malty, some cheese, yeast and some pine. It coats the entire mouth and is very sticky, with some alcohol warming in the finish. it is slightly bitter and piney with some rye there adding an almost sour taste, and sweeter at the end but returning to a bitter finish.

25 oz bottle, via BA BeerBeing. Pours a hazy dark gold colored body under a large fizzy white head that grew quickly because of the vigerous carbonation. Very heavy sticky lacing. Aroma is heavy on the pils malt, thickly doughy, with a touch of hops, rye, and yeastiness. Flavor is similar to aroma, heavy thick malt with a moderate bitterness that emerges on the finish with some alcohol. Not much in the way of complexity, just very straightforward. The rye did add a bit of earthiness. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a fairly creamy texture despite the heavy visible carbonation. Finishes a little sticky. Not a beer that I loved, but this was pretty well made at least. Very drinkable I thought. I’m glad they kept the alcohol in check at a low 7%.
