Commercial Description:
It was made with the able bodies from the PALE ALES (that's the Princeton And Local Environs Ale & Lager Enjoyment Society). Together, we brewed an assertive Pilsner-style lager made with a goodly amount of rye malt. Five varieties of hops were used, including one of the members' Jersey-grown hops.

750ml bottle via trade with DocLock! - Thanks Jeff! - Pours beautiful golden with a tall frothy white head that stays very well and laces the sides of the glass. Fine aroma of noble hops, light grains and a touch of yeast. Flavor starts off surprisingly sweet of honey and a touch of caramel, some biscuit, and bread flavor. Finish is the grassy hops. Very earthy. Smooth soft mouthfeel and a little creamy for a pilsner type. An interesting brew and one that I’m happy to have had the chance to sample!

Pours cloudy golden with a thick, white head. Aroma is metallic, green and a little grassy. Flavor has notes of sweet pale malt, a little caramel, spiciness, grass, hay and tons of noble hops. Pleasantly sweet, ample levels of hop bitterness. Surprisingly thick, creamy body with medium carbonation. Very good.

Sample provided by jasonp. Cloudy, very pale body with a medium sized, white head. The aroma is herbal, floral, grassy with some light bready pale malts. The flavor is moderately sweet, very grassy, herbal-close to medicinal. The mouthfeel is smooth and very creamy, nice but certainly not to style. Luckley, I don’t rate to style.

Pours hazy hay with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is of mildly grassy, spicy hops with a smooth graininess. Flavor is grainy, creamy, with a nice german spicy hop bite in the finish. Medium body with a very creamy palate. Very nice and very drinkable.

750ml bottle-pours a tall, foamy, light tan head. Color is hazy gold with plenty of effervescence. Aroma is grassy, hops. Taste is grassy. Well balanced light, mild malts and hops. Good hops presence, interesting, nice selection of hops. Good carbonation, good beer.

Not my favorite style, but I do like the aroma here - exceptionally fresh. The hopping rate here outshines the malt, or at least the malt is not ultrasweet; instead more biscuit-like. Rye malt does different things in different beers; I really lke the sharpness it imparts in lagers and don’t fancy as much the sweetness in ales. This is a good one and would love to have again. Hefty bottle-conditioning is a huge plus here. Again, the aroma especially is nice if you like noble hops. Thanks to Dorwart for the bottle.

Poured cloudy golden with a long lasting white head. Really yeasty. Smelled like orange, caramel, toffee, floral hops and bready malts. Quite tasty with a good smooth bready malt presense along with hints of butterscotch and caramel. Very bready taste with a strong orange presense as well. Palate was quite full and grassy. Caramel and butterscotch linger in the aftertaste. This is not a favorite style of mine, but this brew is very well done.

DL party at the Hampton. This bew sucked. It was way to yeasty but not like a yeast strain that had any flavor. It did have a pepper after tone but this wasn’t for me.
