Commercial Description:
It was made with the able bodies from the PALE ALES (that's the Princeton And Local Environs Ale & Lager Enjoyment Society). Together, we brewed an assertive Pilsner-style lager made with a goodly amount of rye malt. Five varieties of hops were used, including one of the members' Jersey-grown hops.

Big thanks to Maniac for sharing this. Just depressing that I’ll never have a chance to try this again. Medium gold, nice head. Great floral aroma with a hint of a citric note. Flavor was a dead-on match to the aroma, nicely balanced malts and hops. Really nice beer. So long, Heavyweight.

Clear, medium amber colored on first pour with a fluffy, dense, off-white head that lingers. Great lacing. Aroma is pleasantly malty with hints of earthy/herbal hops. Suprisingly large bodied with a great mouthfeel. A touch peppery/spicey in flavor, nice hop bitterness mixes well. Just a superb beer.

Great, small-bubbled frothy head. The body is orange and very cloudy, very murky with floaties. Very malty toasted wheat flavor - bready, yet hints of hops and citrus. I’m pleasantly surprised with its full-bpdied flavor. Mild aroma.

Pours hazy hay with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is of mildly grassy, spicy hops with a smooth graininess. Flavor is grainy, creamy, with a nice german spicy hop bite in the finish. Medium body with a very creamy palate. Very nice and very drinkable.

Poured a hazy copper color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, bubblegum, doughy malts, and grassy hops. Taste of more doughy malts, some lemongrass, light citrus fruits, and a medium bitterness in the finish. A nice crispy pilsener.

Bottle poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass. Looks great, big pillowy head, thick murky, dark golden body. Aroma is very present - sweet and floral aroma. Dont know how Tom did it but its very nice. Taste is is more herbal with slight sweetness. Some hop presence at the end. What I like is it really doesnt taste like a lager. Maybe its the rye malt but its great. The mouthfeel is very nice on this as well. A nice heavy body that feels llike cushions on the cheeks. Not strong carbonation but detectable.

Bottle: Milky straw in color, very thick and solid looking.   Large fluffy white head, very sticky lacing.   This looks very big, and quite different for a Pilsner.   Yeasty nose, nearly bready, very slight dull floral aspect.   Has a slight basement funk, musty.   Heavy malt sweetness up front, nearly bready, slight floral and caramel notes.   This is one big Pils.   I guess the style is European Strong Lager... which makes more sense.   7.3% for a Pilsner doesn’t make sense.   Big in body, mouthfeel is moderate to full.   Soft hop bitterness, very soft.   Finishes very clean.   Lingering caramel like maltiness.   Pretty enjoyable this one is.   Thanks Paul for yet another Heavyweight!

Pours with a dense white head. Grassy herbal notes in the first whiff of this cloudy golden brew. Marked spiciness in the hops to balance the grainy/bready malts.
