Commercial Description:
Lunacy is brewed exclusively with Belgian Pilsner malt, Styrian and English Goldings hops and freshly ground coriander. It begins its life with a long patient boil and is cast into the fermenter at 17.5 P. It then undergoes a vigorous fermentation and extended cold conditioning. After bottling, the beer receives an additional 2 week warm rest before it is released. This yields a surprisingly refreshing brew with spicy notes, sweet malt and subtle fruit.

12 oz. bottle via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a huge off white, clumpy head. Lively carbonation. Lots of lacing. Aroma is yeast, spice, and esters (banana). Has a tart fruity flavor. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Jason.

12 oz bottle via cornboy (thanks!). Pours an almost clear copper with a huge white head. Smells like bananna, pepper, ginger. Tastes the same with some tart/sourness and with a slight bit of added alcohol burn in the finish. Well carbonated, medium body. Reminds me of Russian River Damnation. One of my least favorite styles, but is very good for what it is!

Hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. Sweet citrus and spice aroma. Light fruity flavor, some apple, banana, and a touch of sour.

Tap at Capital Ale House: Innsbrook. -- A nice Belgian beer with a leaning towards the Belgian Golden variety. Good reddish=orange hue with a thin white head. Light citrus aroma, somewhat sweet and fruity. Nice flavor, light tang, sweet cherry, some hops are evident. Semi-dry and sweet ending.

Gold, with a white head. Aromas are malt and fruit. Flavor is malt, fruit, hops, and spice. Too bad about Heavyweight.

Nice flavored beligian. Lots of hints of fruit, plums, bannanas, and finishes off with a nice malt aftertaste. Head was a little weak though.

Light golden pour with decent head. Aroma is light, banana-ish, malty. Taste is very pleasant, smooth, with rich malty taste. Just a bit of fruit thrown in that seems well balanced with a light hoppiness. Nice Belgian ale - a shame Heavyweight is no more.
