Commercial Description:
Lunacy is brewed exclusively with Belgian Pilsner malt, Styrian and English Goldings hops and freshly ground coriander. It begins its life with a long patient boil and is cast into the fermenter at 17.5 P. It then undergoes a vigorous fermentation and extended cold conditioning. After bottling, the beer receives an additional 2 week warm rest before it is released. This yields a surprisingly refreshing brew with spicy notes, sweet malt and subtle fruit.

Pours a hazy pale golden color with thin, long-lasting head. Fruity aroma. Nicely balanced flavor with mild fruit tones, malty background with a bitter hop finish. No one flavor dominated, but all blended well to make a very drinkable brew. Real nice and unique.

12 oz. bottle from Shoreline drank on 8/10/06. Total Gusher! (My first ever) Gushed for a good 5 min. until I finally poured it. Cloudy golden yellow orange. Huge 3" creamy white head. Huge foam sticks around. Huge lacing. Aroma - Avg. strength, low for a Belgian Golden. Bananas, a little cloves, a little yeast and spice, sweet. Almost a little tangy. Flavor - most likely an infected brew. Doesn’t taste horrible, but it is definitely off. Avg. up front bitterness. On the tongue it’s a little bit sour. Really dry and almost metallic finish. Palate - light, almost watery. Very high carb. Overall - seems like it could be a good beer, but this one is definitely infected. Tastes completely off. Sour, dry, not sweet at all - no banana, cloves, spice, or yeast flavor.

Thanks to The_Epeeist for this. The beer pours to a really hazy caramel colored body with a white head. The aroma is strange. Spicy fruits and interesting hops/malt. The flavor is quite unique. Spicy fruits. Tart rich mouthfeel. A very unique Belgian style brew.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy pale golden witha small quick white film of a head. Fine thin sheets of lacing. Aroma is a very light sweet almost pilsnerish malty. Flavor is again rather pilsnerish and the Belgian notes I was expecting are quite faint. Pleasant enough but nothing special. Clean finish.

Bottle: Cloudy gold with a white fizzy head and spotty lacing. Perfumy sweet malt aromas. The taste is as equally sweet - sugary grains, grapes, light tones of cardboard. The feel is fairly thin and it leaves a sweet aftertaste in your mouth. Too much for me - give me an IPA! Thanks Indiana_Red!

An aroma of spice. A slightly citrusy spicy flavor. Just a slightly weak watery palate. A good beer I would love to drink again.

This poured a golden color. A modest lemon aroma. Some bitterness in the flavor with a spicy citrus flavor. A creamy mouthfeel. My notes say "Hops dull with arse" God fest ratings are truly horrible.
