Malty aroma contains interesting pear notes, but little else. Floral and biscuity palate procures a mellow warming. What saves it from being redundant remains those not unpleasant cork notes that work pretty well with the leafiness and coriander flavours. Light-medium body, medium carbonation. Alright, but Heavyweight has proved it can do better at Belgians with its recent line of Saisons.. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2005 Poured golden and effervescent with a tall fizzy white head. Sweet aroma of apple cider, candy, tartness and a touch of cinnamon. Taste is apples, dry chardonnay, nutmeg, with a touch of sweetness and a pleasant dry finish. I’m somewhat surprised by the low score for this brew. I found it to be rich, well-crafted, and enjoyable. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2005 golden color, nice quarter inch head. aroma of lemongrass. very heavy carbonation detracting from flavors of coriander and spice. dry finish swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2005 This begian style golden ale looks great in the glass with a nice white head which quickly faded. The aroma is light and citrusly showing some lemon and camomile. The taste was thicker than I was expecting showing some vanilla, orange peel, coriander and some rose. Mouth feel was very carbonated with no real aftertaste. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2005 Updated: Mar 28, 2005Does Belgian Pilsner malt contain wheat? Swear this could be a heifenwiezan (probably spelled wrong). Of course, my sheer ignorance stops me from knowing these things. Nice color, kind of bigger head then I thought it would. Citrus flavor undercut by flower and vanilla. For 7 something percent, couldn’t really taste the alcohol. Really smooth. This would be a dangerous beer on the golf course. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
