Light alcohol spicyness in the aroma, not much else (then again these days my nose has been rendered useless by pollen). Taste starts seeming like it is going to be tart, but quickly turns to a sweet malt fruitless. Warm solid mouthfeel. I’d like some more carbonation as I think it would improve the aroma, but overall it is a pretty tasty beer. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

This stuff has a big punch and doesn’t try to hide it. Big white foamy head to boot. Good times indeed. beermaniac (86), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2004 Aroma:
Spicy coriander with medicinal overtones. Some caramelization apparent, estery with alcohol apparent.
Appearance:
Murky dark gold, low head retention.
Flavor:
Caramel flavor with malt in the background. Fruity estery flavor also. Coriander/spices also lend slight medicinal notes.
Mouthfeel:
Thick, syrupy mouthfeel finishes sweet. Alcohol warmth apparent.
Overall/Drinkability:
Good beer, but medicinal overtones detract from experience.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2004 12oz Bottle Poured a cloudy honey color with a white head that died quickly. Aroma is yeasty with spicy notes like pepper and clove. This is close to a Hefe in that respect and nothing like a Belgian in my opinion. Body is light and effervescent. Flavor is yeasty and spicy and quite refreshing. Wasn't what I expected but still a decent brew. Thanks Bert! Drew (2409), Kent, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 26, 2004 (12oz bottle) Pours a large, frothy, white head and a clear, amber body with much carbonation. Nose of yeast, citrus and malt. Very yeasty flavour, lemony with a bitter dry finish. Nothing spectacular but above average Belgian.
