This time (on tap) it was much more as it should be. Slightly hazy golden color - no head at all. Aroma is of sugar with coriander notes along with a wheat malt aroma. Flavor is similar to the aroma except fruit flavors are more prevalent. Finish is crisp, dry and spicy. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2003 Very hazy golden coloured body with strong orange tints. Absolutely no head...died down VERY quickly. Aroma of peaches, wheat, yeast and coriander seed. Full-bodied; Initial lemony twang then unfolds into a yeastie presence. Very dry finish, almost nothing but coriander seed freshness. Overall, this one is definately different than the standard Tripel, and if you are in the mood for a different styled belgie...try this! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquor in Washington, D.C. and sampled it on 22-December-2003. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA

Full malt flavor, with a dry, wheat beer like palate, and a big alcohol zip. Very drinkable. amx1970390 (466), Southampton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 3, 2003 Pretty thin looking, golden orange liquid. Very little head. Good spicey aroma. Easy drinking with a nice crisp full flavored finish. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2003 Hazy orange. Good head whilst pouring - but gone in seconds. Overpowering coriander smell, nearly souplike. If Westcoast Imperial Pale Ale has an absolute overdose of American hops, this has a similar overdose of coriander - on the point of making it undrinkable. There is some carbonation but the whole beer gives a flat, unattenuated impression all the same. OK, I understand. Belgian brewers do use a lot of coriander - many times way too much. And in the best American style of "more is better", they dosed it accordingly. Ohmygod. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2003 On tap. Golden color. Unimpressive aroma. It's kinda wheaty, but it's kinda "blah". It is fairly crisp and refreshing. I think my problem is that it claims to be a belgian ale, and it just doesn't live up to other Belgians. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2003 Strongly phenolic bubblegum aroma. Slightly wheaty rather bland malt flavor. There is a touch of crispness in the finish, with a bit of late hops.
