Commercial Description:
Lunacy is brewed exclusively with Belgian Pilsner malt, Styrian and English Goldings hops and freshly ground coriander. It begins its life with a long patient boil and is cast into the fermenter at 17.5 P. It then undergoes a vigorous fermentation and extended cold conditioning. After bottling, the beer receives an additional 2 week warm rest before it is released. This yields a surprisingly refreshing brew with spicy notes, sweet malt and subtle fruit.

Both spice and fruity esters predominant from fermentation. Very effervescent on tap, light bitterness, buttery finish

Light clear yellow bright lemon. Citric nose and tart flavors. Lurking sugar sweetness in the finish.

Dark orange, slightly hazy, with coriander infused nose. Seemingly big bodied, but missing the complexity of a crazy Belgian yeast. Malty sweet, slightly hoppy at the finish and a bit dry from the alcohol at the end, but missing the funkiness that should tie it all together.

Smoky smell - like beer on the grill. Alcohol vapors hit your tongue before the beer does. Has that kinda heavy, smoky malt flavor with the alcohol finish - but not too strong. Nice spicy, bready notes too. Finishes well.

Aroma is musty and a slightly unpleasent. Flavor starts as sweet malt with a slight clove spice in the background, then transitions to a mild lemon and cider flavor. Tasty but very refreshing, I would have thought that it was a low ABV ale if i hadnt seen the 7.7% on the side.

Not the best beer I've had from heavyweight, but still good. I think the aroma is the best thing about this beer.

While this beer smells and looks impressive at first take, the flavor misses somewhat, I think. You think you going to get something fairly citrusy, but then it hits, some weird dry, chalky taste and finish. The beer also has more burn than you'd expect from something sub-8%.
