Absolutely no head or lacing. Scent (or should I say aroma) is that of what I expect from a Belgian golden. Basically rock candy, toffee, bubblegum, and well, kinda’ sweet. However, a bit more enticing than the average Belgian. There’s some sort of clove smell or taste somewhere, as my nose and palate are playing tricks on me tonight. Medium body, sticky and sweet, yet it still goes down easy. One of the better domestic "Belgian Ales" I’ve tried. Heavyweight R.I.P. TheKegergator (241), California, USA

Nose has Belgian yeast, fruit, and - yes! - that mysterious spaghetti funk I’ve long bewondered. Sweet and spicy with evident coriander. Cloudy golden with no real head. Belgian yeast and candis and lots of indeterminate fruit to go with a little alcohol in the relatively aggressive start. Coriander and lemon with strainable spiciness in a full body with a tart aftertaste. Touch of wit. Sweet and acidic with some herbal hops and alcohol to finish. Apple cider burp. Would be a nice sessioner if a bit weaker. Balanced and solid if unspectacular, yet another monument to HW craftsmanship. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA

Hops heavy to finish. Not very sweet, not yeastly, no coriander or other traditional Belgian Ale flavors or aromas. Bleh - JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Aroma is sweet and smells a bit like apples. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for the style, but not a problem to drink. Taste is sweet with a slightly sharp finish; a little sharp tang is present at the end. A decent golden. dmradus (227), State College, Pennsylvania, USA

Not much to get excited about here. Yellow brown, one inch white head that fades to a quarter-inch and lasts. High carbonation. Nose: alcohol, sugary sweet malt, lemon, banana, a bit of pine. Taste has a spicy backbone - pepper and coriander. Upfront citrus: lemon, orange, some apple, slightly bitter. Watery on the tongue. Meh. Nothing to see here, folks - move on, move on. joeyuncg (3), Astoria, New York, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2006 floral, roasty, earthy, golden, hazy, aminimal head, medium bitterness, lightly sour, vinegar, light body, slick feel, flat, MrBendo (1049), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
