Great IPA. Well-balanced and fruity. Spicey aroma. Complex refreshing body and a nice average long hoppy finish. A good IPA.

Aug 22, 2004 Not your typical American micro I.P.A. My nose was greeted by the scent of wet hops from this golden ale. Peglina’s German, British and American ingredients blend well together. This beer reminds me of a super hoppy Octoberfest beer.

May 13, 2004 Andy’s on tap. Cloudy orangish with a white head. Malty/hoppy aroma. Noble hops. Big flavor profile of hops and a decent malt sweetness. A touch of alcohol noted. Dangerously drinkable and well balanced.

Jul 5, 2004 Draft at Monks... This was a very interesting, IPA? Whoa... Poured a dark reddish caramel color, medium sized off white head, and nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, light citrus, and tropical fruits. Interesting flavors going on in the taste. It tasted somewhat sweet, citrus (orange peel), some pepper, a little alcohol, and finally finishing a little roasty. Light carbonation. This tasted very Belgian to me, hops were not all that pronounced.

Jul 5, 2004 (draft) Clear mahogany body with beige head. Aroma is mild sweet, peppery, caramel, some earthy. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, port, earthy, pepper. Low carbonated, medium body, sticky. Not like any pale ale that I have ever had.

Aug 20, 2004 Draught at Spuyten. Deer clear orange hue with a small off-white head. Interesting aroma with some nutty part I can’t put my finger on. Supposedly this is made with rye? It blended pretty well (hop rod rye anyone?) although very accessible. Hops are orangey and earthy which gives an english feel. Mouthfeel is smooth, rather mouth-filling and displaying lower than average effervescence. Nice malt bill (rye, cereals, caramel), Spicy peppery and orangey finish. I like it!

Aug 26, 2004 Draft. Pours dark straw with medium head. Aroma of malt, fruit, hops. Tastes malty, with hops, slight fruit, and slight corn chips. Medium palate with a malt/hop/fruit/limey corn chip finish that was slightly dry. Unique.
