Commercial Description:
A Baltic porter brewed in collaboration with Lew Bryson. This style is difficult to find outside of the Baltics. What a shame! The grist consists of lots of Munich malt and some chocolate and other specialty malts. A Bavarian lager yeast is used to create this. Dark and mysterious, subtle and well, it is called the Hammer. For those who care, Perkuno was the Baltic thunder god.

Bottle thanks to JHop: Black pour with a light tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, dark fruits, and maybe a bit of coffee. Flavors, Dark fruits, maybe some grapes, chocolate. Some nice bitterness. Medium bodied, a little sticky, and a roasty finish. Very good stuff.

Nice black hole pour with a dark orange brown head. Strong prune, alcohol, cream cheese, chocolate, chocolate chips to be more precise. Not as thick as I thought from looking at it, the flavors are sharp, grapes, cherry, and a touch of iced coffee with a lingering powdered cocoa flavor. Surprising amount of noticeable hop presence that is spicy and floral. Ap-5 ar-7 tas-6 pal-4 ov-14

Jet black beer with a thick brown head. Aromas of dried prunes, raisins, soy, dark chocolate and leather. Complex and intense dark malts and dried fruits. Flavour is fantastic. Much sweeter and more chocolatey than the aroma. Full-bodied with lots of cherry, dried fruit, and leathery flavours. Strong toasty notes through the middle along with caramel and bittersweet chocolate. Soft earthy and dusty finish. Even slightly smoky throughout with a hint of sourness as well. Gorgeous brew.

Pours motor oil black into a tulip. Off-white medium head hugs rim. Fruity chocolate, toffee and coffee notes. Upfront dried fruit and chocolate with a lasting coffee finish. A little thin for an imperial.

Thanks to px2grafx. Black pour with a fairly large tan head, good lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark malt stuff like chocolate, coffee, roast and caramel, but also cocoa or coffee beans. In other words, I don’t think this was malt alone here. Also got some notes of the yeast as this was pouring out a few floaties/chunks. This had a lot of potential, but the extra flavors made it more interesting than enjoyable. Still good though.

Opaque dark walnut with very little brown head. Aroma is of plums, raisins, and a hint of coffee. Flavor is of some plums, malts, and a tiny molasses note.
