Flavors of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts evident in this dark brown medium body porter. Real easy to get "hammered" after a few bottles. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2004 Bottle pours black as night, small tannish colored dishwater like head, with fairly sticky lacing.   Aroma of soy (seems like an imperial stout), burnt malts, light chocolate, and some dark pitted fruit.   Forwardly bittersweet dark chocolate, soy, with slight hops and plums/dates thrown in.   Finishes slightly sweet, with more dark fruity flavors.   For an imperial porter, this was quite dark and quite tasty.   Good body and mouthfeel.   Thanks goes out to austinpowers for the trade!
