Not a head that regenerates, but a head that lasts and has a lunar crater softness as the bubbles get bigger and sink in upon itself. Light coffee, wood, dark fruit and a hint of olive oil and brett. Light crisp and lively on the palate. This is one of those dark brews that begs to be released of the chains of heavy dark brews. Light oak, cherries, apples and caramel mingle with hints of coffee, roasted malt and sour mash. This is one of those brews that is really nicely balanced and drinkable, but somewhat sedate and shall I say not a lot of pizazz. Dark chocolate in the linger that gets sweeter the longer it sets and begs for another sip. This would be great at the end or the beginning of a dinner. Clean and cleansing with a salad or sweet and soothing with a dark chocolate dessert. A shame this is no longer produced. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, dark brown with a small, light brown head. Lightly tart, fruity and vinous aroma. Medium body with sourish notes of overripe - and dried - fruits. Vinous and quite delicate. A light tartness lingers all through the finish but without any confronting bitterness. 061006 Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Light beige head. Berries, sourness and some fruity notes. Flavour is full of berries as well. Sourness is keeping up to the fruitsweetness and the light caramelly notes. Spices present. Medium bodied. Dry refreshing and cleansing mouthfeel. Ends on a sour berries notes. Definately a winner in my book. Looking forward to the one I got from Probiere. Thanks for that. joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2006 A very dark brown beer with a red shine underneath a fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet but also with a hint of acidity and notes of wood, prunes, and caramel - reminds me a bit of a Flemmish Sour. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of prunes, and lesser notes of wood and caramel, leading to a dry woody end. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Wow this was delicious. Had some sour flavor in the first sip, especially the head...which was ridiculous. I was worried this was ruined because it looked like it dripped, but it was craziliy heady. There is some fruity sweetness and the roastiness, which is a strange combo.
