Commercial Description:
This one was inspired by Fantome's Black Ghost and Pizza Port's SPF8. It's deep brown in color and the combination of roast and tropical fruit flavors are strange but effective. It's hopped with English Goldings and Saaz and fermented with three Belgian yeast strains. ~6% Brewed: Feb.17 Bottled:

750ml bottle thanks to dickinsonbeer for this. pours dark brown w/ tan head. nose of mocha, some roast and caramel, slightly grainy. flavor sweet grainy, roast, sweet grainy notes along with a good touch of sourness to it. watery mouth feel. highly carbonated but long vigirous swirls takes the fizziness out. the hops have really faded out at this point. decent stuff, probably past its time. I was expecting more.

Courtesy Degarth. Huge rocky off-white head fills the glass. Black-dark brown in color when everything settles down. Heavy spices and herbs on the aroma with a nice tartness lying under the other aromas. Well-carbonated. The spice/herb components meld nicely with the sour. The sourness is mild but complements the spiciness nicely. Tasty.

Black/brown. Ginormous 10cm dense, spongey, creamy, rocky head. Impressive pour. Aroma of musty sour funk, dried dark fruits, light roastiness, and a subtly crisp graininess. Flavor adds cocoa powder, milk chocolate, more roastiness, bready malt/yeast. Dry, yeasty, cocoa finish. Medium/full body, soft and foamy. Solid.

Bottled. Poured deep chocolatey brown with a towering, creamy cap of medium beige head. The aroma was dry and decidedly aged with semi-sweet chocolate, wheat, some funky yeastage, and lemon zest.. really nice! The flavor lost its edge over the years.. semi-sweet chocolate and darker spices hit first, but the beer takes a sour direction after that.. dark fruits and a little vinegar give it an almost lambic-like feel.. finish is sweet, spicy, and rather enjoyable (lots most of its sourness). Creamy on the first part of the palate before the sourness, then full, yet refreshing at the finish. Not bad, but it’s seen better days.

An outstanding beer that likely got better with cellaring. Bourbon winey aroma and in initial flavour, Bottle #54. Brown with mocha head and lots of lace. Wild yeast, warming alcohol. Chocolate milt, citrus, stouty, cocoa stouty, Smooth with the flemish sourness mid-sip. Complex and one of a kind.

Aroma: Barn-yard funk, sour fruit, leather, citrus, brown sugar, metallic.... Appearance: Dark brown-black, light tan head, great retention & lace.... Flavour: Raisins, slight sourness, winey, brown sugar, bready, slight chocolate, roasted nuts..... Palate: Light to moderate body is very smooth, moderate carbonation, slight acidity..... Very drinkable. After some cellaring, it’s more of a Flanders Brown.
