Aroma is esters a light fruit. Slightly sour and much to my liking. Clean a fresh on the palate even though this is over a year old. Very nice. Thanks Craig! joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Saison de la Soeur Golden pours a crystal clear golden leaning toward a polished copper. Two finger fluffy white head formed on the pour and the lively carbonation kept it there for ages. Leaves great clingy lacing.
Aroma has the dusty summer field of wildflower aroma I find so intriguing. Tart green apples and a squeeze of lemon juice show up as well. Spicy yeast quality fills the nose.
Flavor is right down the same path as the aroma. Spicy, flowery, and quite refreshing. Green apple skins and a squueze of lemon sourness. Nice flavor.
Light bodied and refreshing with very lively but massaging carbonation. Finishes slightly dry.
This is a quality saison that if cellered properly is still holding up very well. If you can get your hands on it give it a try.

Aroma: bread, chocolate, kind of acidic, a bit of hops, "saisony." Cloudly gold with a soft, puffy head. Flavor: pungent, saaz, earthy, wet mushrooms, phlegm. The goldings hops are noticable too. Pretty dissappointed with this. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Lemony, dog blanket, some fun funk that increases at it warms, bit of sweetness. Poitns for unusualness. Very happy to pick this up at Hi Time Wine in COsta Mesa. Heavyweight will certainly be missed. This is spectacualr.
