I enjoyed thi while watching Duck Soup with some friends. The body poured a medium copper and orange with a cloudy body. The quickly fading head was white. This leaves a decent amount of lacing in the glass. The aroma was herbal with grass and tobacco. There was also a little citrus from the hops. The taste was initially sweet with toffee and light grapefruit. Teh body felt very fizzy in the mouth. There was alsoa taste of toast and peanuts. Recieved in a trade with Lou18.

Poured a hazy dark golden brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma was sweet and yeasty with earthy and floral hops and some gum. Flavor starts with a touch of fruit, yeasty with a moderately bitter and dry finish. Lively mouthfeel.

Pure copper. White lathery foam intricately dots the glass. Aromatically rustic with peppery hops, lemon, and musty yeast. Touch of iron along with a full assortment of dried fruits. Spongy carbonation. Flavors unfold gracefully, yielding lightly gritty yeast notes chased by candied malt whispers which lend complementary depth to the appetizing herbal bitterness. Delectably snappy and herbal due to an artful showcase of vivacious yeast and hops, yet feathery soft and creamy with impeccable attenuation. Airy but immensely juicy with a bursting splash of passionfruit. Fruity yeast aspects unite with clover honey-drizzled biscuits to trigger a caramelized banana effect which continues to linger. Finishes remarkably integrated with a mist of dryness, as scratchy yeast notes underline a nuanced trail of white pepper, melon rind, and star anise. Kudos to Tom on another jewel of a saison. The guy sure knows how to work his yeast.

Thin but dense head of varing sized bubbles. Great carbonation keeps a thin wisp of foam on the surface. Spicy and fruity aroma. Some white grape and pepper. Also some herbal hops in there. Color is a slightly cloudy rusted water color. Flavor is spicy with some hops bitterness. Dry palate with more herbs. Finish is dry and chalky with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Decent but some of the others are better.

Dark rusted orange color, similar to the spicy, with a full saisonish head. Very floral fruity hop smell, weedy and mildly herbaceous, with hints of peach, tangerine and pineapple. I thought the hop aroma was nice, but it covered up everything I was to smell in a saison. Flavor is overwhelming with hops, with an herbal and floral blend. Very little yeast or fruit character, which I found disappointing. Was hoping for a better balanced hoppy saison.

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), moderately yeasty (cobwebs). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. The hops smell nice to me, but they seem to override the saisony character somewhat, so the aroma isn’t quite what I look for. But a great dry balance and velvety texture, and a perpetually lasting head. Great stuff.

Clear copper with no head really, just a bunch of bubbles - in fact, I thought it was going to be flat because there was no "pfffft" when I opened up the bottle. Beautiful mixture of noble and cascade hops in the aroma. Flavor has notes of light caramel, pear, some yeast, grassy hops, white grapes and some grapefruit/citrus. Moderately sweet with a prominent yet non-aggressive hop bitterness. Medium to light body with a smooth texture and subtle, very fine-beaded carbonation. No lacing or head retention. Overall, very nice beer.

Sample from willblake’s bottle at Great Divide. Burnt straw-colored body with abundant yeast and a velvety, slow-fading white head that left noticeable lace. Aroma is of peppery phenols, grassy hops, and mild lemon notes. Nice blend of citrus peel flavors and medium bitterness. A good, tasty saison with a pleasing twist.
