Courtesy Beerlando. Mild herbal hops at first. Wheaty minty bready malts. Fresh cotton scent? Seemingly floral. Cloudy gold color. Light foaminess. Neat combo of pie crust, pastry dough, spice and light apricot fruitiness. Really light but full flavored. Mild tartness. Sublime.

Retired bottle from Ryan. Thanks Ryan! I’m guessing this bottle is 2 yrs old. I kept thinking these were sour beers, but I think Soeur means sister in French, which explains why it doesn’t taste sour. Mellow and easy to drink. Classis Saison aroma. Yellow color. Very complex and hard to describe, probably some melding of flavors and aromas from the aging.

Tasting at PP-Cbad, thanks to wetherel! Cloudy light orange hue, minimal head and lacing. Nose is pepper and spices, light fruits, pears, pale malts, fairly subdued with not much hop presence. Taste is spice, light fruits, peppers, opens up to earthy/grassy hops, finishes dry. Watery texture with moderate carbonation. Overall, an average saison lacking in hop presence and overly bitter.

750ml bottle shared with the Chi-Town crew. Moist aroma of wet citrus ring and wet grass. Pours cloudy orange. Nearly lifeless appearance. Light grassy hops initially on the tongue. Pear (not bear, Drew) meat. Slightly cheesy. Lean bready malt. Creamy. Medium bodied. A touch watery. Grassy finish. Perhaps past its prime. Thanks Drew!

750 ml bottle sampled at An Evening with Pantanap #4. Thanks to drewbeerme for always providing us with more heavyweights. I love trying all of their brews before they deteriorate. And I’m pretty sure this one is on the way out. Hazed orange pours with a film of a head. Caramel, lemons, orange, and yeast in the nose. Caramel, citrus, and a touch of faded earthy hops in the finish. Sessionable and decent, but I’m pretty sure this was once much better.

750ml bottle thanks to andrew which was shared at P4...... appearance was a hazy medium brown with very little head that formed at the sides.... aroma was pretty fruity and very little hops..... flavors were pretty muted and water down fruit and earthy hops but was just kind ol lacking overall.

Decent looking amber hue with a nice foamy head. Wonderful noble hop aroma still prevalent after more than two years of age on it. Unfortunately, in that aroma are solid notes of oxidation and a sour character which become all too prevalent in the first sip. A bit over-spiced as well which is typical for American Saisons. Otherwise, it has a nice body and decent mouthfeel.
