750 ml bottle via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a cloudy golden color with no head. No hiss when I opened the bottle. Aroma is spice, yeast, and esters. Flavor is light citrus and esters. Little malt. Light to medium body. Man, I wish I would have drank this awhile back when I got it. Time has not been nice to this one. Thanks Jason.

I can’t believe I haven’t rated this one (must be an over sight on my part). Good thing I had 1 750ml bottle left. Poured a medium and cloudy orange color with a huge sized off white head. Lots of small floaters. Aromas of yeast, fruity, and floral. Tastes of yeast, citrus, fruity, and lightly spicey. Body on the thinner side. I remember this being a little better when it was fresh, but this is still quite drinkable.

Courtesy SoLan. Poured a slightly cloudy reddish-orange color with a light soapy white head. Light palate with moderate carbonation. Aroma is floral, grassy with some sweet honey-like notes. The taste is sweet, yeasty, mildly hoppy, citrusy, grassy, and has a slight dry finish. It didn’t seem to settle in any one place and the "hoppy" character was undiscernable. Still a very drinkable American saison.

Hazy orange/amber body with yellow outlying hues. Thick, creamy white head, well retained. Very sporadic lacing. I really expected this to pour out looking infected, as so many other Heavyweight beers have. Instead, it looks terrific. Muted citric hops that acted as a noble preservative now impart an odd lemon/lime nose with earthy nuances. Malt and yeast interplay is soothing. Earthy flavor. Hop oils still present, though relatively low bitterness remains, if there ever was any. Lightly bitter with light to medium acidity. Moderately fruity and lightly yeasty. There is a huge lemon oil residue and flavor, somewhat perfumy. Finishes somewhat bitter and with a touch of funk, brief except for a lingering sweet lemon tinge. Palate is spicy and medium bodied. Another odd creation from Heavyweight.

Courtesy Dorwart. Hazy gold/amber and 2cm of dense, frothy white head. Nose is floral, noble hops, grain, lightly zesty yeast. Flavor is similar with some cascade coming through with light sourness and a bit of funk. Medium body, balanced. Solid.

Fruity nose. Complex tastes: apple, tart grapefruit, and a little smokey even. Dirty gritty end. Fat and full body. Interesting.

Rating #600. 750ml all to myself. First, the Story: I know there are some people that don’t like to celebrate a particular numerical milestone on this site but I’m not one of the them. There are some ratings that I personally give a basic description for a beer and mostly because it really does not deserve a windy speech saying what others already said, butI describe in a way so when I go back to check my ratings and say "oh yea I remember the way that tasted". Not here. Oh no not on this one! I’m a numbers guy and for awhile now I’ve been contemplating on what to rate for #600. Unitl the dog with the hoodie reminded me that, "Hey, I have that one and have never even rated it let alone drink it". Thanks Puzzl! The beer: I was nervous about the fizz before I opened because all my Heavyweight beers have seemed to be capped a little crooked. This one let out a nice little "fizz" sound. Poured into my Duvel Tulip it looked great: Nice golden body with a 2 finger white foamy head and lots of activity. Came very close to a 5 for appearance. Very close. Each time I poured it it was almost as entertaining as watchin the Colts/Patriots playoff game. Aroma was intresting with yeast being present but hops dominating the aroma, but in a good way. First taste is a little drier than I was anticipating. Very light with a very, very light sour aftertaste. Flavors that came through to me were Meyer Lemons, Bitter Melon, Bean sprout, Chantrelle mushroom, and black pepper. Nice taste and great palate. I’ve never had it fresh but thought this was great with atleast a year on it. Now what should number #700 be...?

Very interesting beer. Aroma is exquisitely fruity, strong passionfruit and starfruit, hop fruits complementing the saison esters. Very neat. Flavor is much drier than one would expect, with bready fruits and noble hops. I really like how the hops compliment the natural fruitiness of a saison. Not too much spicing, good yeast notes. Very drinkable, perhaps a touch thin. I never had this fresh, but with how its drinking now, I feel a year was pretty much its sweet spot.
