I pickedf up two bottles ran home and popped it open, err... I mean opened it. Basically, it didnt take much to take the cap off and the pop was kind of weak. Now I have heard that this is a regular occurence with this beer. However, it poured well enough with a small head into my small slightly curved goblet glass. Color is really murky amber with no clarity and a gelatin like appearance. Aroma is present, slightly fruity and a kind of soury sweetness. A BdG like malt presence with slight cookie dough. Taste is not watery but nothing really comes out. Its weird like that. Low on bitterness and average mouthfeel. Maybe this bottle has just been sitting around too long. The other one is up for grabs in a trade - first come first serve. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2006 So what good does it do to rate a beer from a close brewery? I guess it doesn’t do much good to say how much I didn’t like this beer. Since I rate for me and only me, it doesnt matter whether I keep notes to remind myself to either plunk down more hard earned cash for a beer or not. Anywhooo, this stuff pretty much sucked. Note to self, take a pass on this whenever possible in the future. Cheers! YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2006 750ml bottle via trade with notalush - Thanks Brandon! - Poured dark golden and quite cloudy with a pretty fair creamy offwhite head that stays well and laces the tulip. Aroma of light yeast, some brett, and light spice. Flavor is yeasty with some definite orange peel, corriander, some slight brett there too. Light raisins, and caramel also found in the background. I also got lots of barnyard flavor in this. Palate is somewhat soft and quite dry. Pretty refreshing and I thought it tasted much like a belgian wit except somewhat more dry.. Enjoyable.. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 18, 2006 25 oz bottle, tasted next to Hoppy. Pours a dark gold colored body with a slight yeast haze under a moderate creamy off-white head that had good retention. Aroma is similar to Hoppy, with light funk, fruity yeast, and an eclectic mix of spice. Some sort of a mix of orange peel, coriander, and maybe GOP? Slightly maltier than the Hoppy. Flavor wise, it was quite a bit spicier than the Hoppy and also a little drier as well. Light notes of orange peel and coriander against the funky farmhouse background. A little fizzier in the carbonation as well, but still a pretty nice mouthfeel. Overall, this was just as solid as the Hoppy version and made for a nice summer evening sipper on the front porch. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2006 750mL bottle. Deep orange with red tinges, medium sized white head. Fusel alcohol, mild acetic tartness, and fruity esters in the aroma. Raisin bread, buttery flavors, and sharp floral esters. Faint tartness melds with acrid floral character in the finish. Mouthfeel is a light medium, fairly dry.
