Pours out a deep copper color almost like that of a double IPA. Aroma is exactly what you would expect...spicy (go figure). Taste is rather hoppy with some notes of some strange spices, maybe some lemon grass with yeast and some fruit here or there and maybe some black pepper on the finish, very earthy with some nice flavors on the finish. Solid beer

Bottle 750ml. Pours a cloudy fresh apple cider color with practically no head. Scents of citrus and grass. Very nice citrus(lemon) flavors. Presence of sourness was a plus as it was tempered. This got better as I drank the bottle. Refreshing and just wanted to keep tasting it. Not really the level of spiciness that actually prompted me to purchase. Nonetheless, a really very nice saison.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Slightly cloudy, light orange in color, with minimal white head, fades to film rather quickly. Aroma has a big musty/yeasty character to it. Maybe grass, slight skunk, and faint herbs and spice. Flavor has nice yeasty, zesty, fruit up front (guessing orange, hard to pinpoint though)with a malt background to balance it out. Lots of white pepper in a very dry finish. Fine saison IMO.

I am not a big saison fan but was intrigued enough to pick this one up. Sampled from a 750ml green bottle this beer poured a cloudy caramel color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma is sour, tangy and has light caramel and raisin elements. The flavor is sour and tangy with a strong butterscotch presence The finish is fruity and a bit peppery.

This is a good saison, robust, and somewhat spicy. Has peppery elements, and maybe even some herbality from chamomille or something like that. A bit of earthy turned-over vegetables too. But in a good way! Good body, darker in color than expected. Good aroma too. Thanks to NJ Dead Man fan for the bottle.

Hazy body is the hue of cut wood with a medium white head. Aroma of black pepper, coriander, sharp yeasty phenols, cloves, and rich, nutty malt. Flavor is malty and phenolic with lightly plastic, grainy, and peppery qualities. Moderately sweet with both plastic and hop bitterness. A tantalizing, sharp, and interesting American saison.

Bottle courtesy of hopdog. Muddied orange amber with a small white head. Nose is surprisingly fruity and candyish with lighter spice and yeast. Tangerines, candied orange, light candied yams, light yeast, hint of pepper, light floral profile and dry hoppiness. Taste is mostly sweet with light ripened fruits(melon, faint apple, nectarine), bubblegum, light grass, Belgian yeast, light flowery notes and a bit of earthiness. Body is light-medium with some bubbly carbonation and light lingering bitterness. Nie dryness at times as well. Finishes with more ripened fruit notes, grass, light spices, hint of caramel, apple pie and light yeasty notes. Pretty good!

Bottle: Courtesy of Secret Santa. Aroma of yeast, light fruit, grass, and hints of tartness. Don’t really detect any spice in the nose. Pours a cloudy orangish-red with a nice off-white head that fades to a soapy ring. Yeasty up front with Euro-lager, grassy hops, and lightly spiced finish. Not as spicy as I was expecting.
