| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 8, 2006 A dissappointingly quiet entrance. Head is miniscule at best, dropping off quickly. Nose is lightly yeasty, bready with a faint citrus squeek. An unappealing tea like appearence, lifeless. Body is thin, droopy. Light fruit flavors and bit of hop spiceyness. Muted maltyness, lightly bready and doughy. Finish is medium dry, quick. Some carbonation might of helped? The lamest of the De la Soeur line. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2006 honey colored, no head. Aroma is of grass clipping and twigs(very earthy). Not as spicy as the name might indicate, but very good all the same. Dry finish. Thanks Pailhead & Styles. Cornboy (417), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Opens with a barrage of foam. Pours cloudy and darker than expected. Aromas of slight funky yeasts, coriander, and spice I cant quite identify (a bit of cinnamon?). QUite easy to driink, lingering spice notes refresh as you sip. Very nice. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Bottle provided by and shared with tpkenned. Semi-hazy and copper-orange in color with a creamy ice peninsula and foamy white wrung for the head. Aroma gives off curacau, orange peel, mild pepper, subtle clover leaf, and, dare I say, subdued paprika. Flavor is reminiscent of Pipaix, sans sourness. Straight forward mango proprieties. Orange peel, curacau and a touch of cloves and pepper. Sweetly spiced, but not spicy. Semantics. Ginger and nutmeg slightly invigorate orange crème toffee and sweet potato fries. Gentle palate palisade and one of the more subdued hop profiles in a saison. Finished with buttery orange caramels. Enjoyable. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2006 This was the start of our Saison night. First of six(first four were all Heavyweight). 750ml bottle. Hazy with a golden amber hue. Floral, and yeasty in the nose with a touch of toffee. Lacy white head. Oily yeasty body. Floral, citrus, caramel, chamomile, little bit of grapes? Peppery, orange, caramel, spices. Third favorite from the Heavyweight line. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Pours hazy orange with a decent off white head. Smells of straw, hay, grass, yogurt, sugar. Taste is of coriander, oranges, some mellow spices. My least favorite of their saisons. CaptainCougar (5494), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Pours a lightly hazy golden bronze with a thick frothy off-white head. Semi-sweet grassy floral aroma has a touch of yeasty dough. Body starts with a toasty earthy maltiness and some mild spice toward a very dry, lightly warming crisp finish. Nice authenticity but could use a touch more sweetness. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Hazy amber with a decent head. Mandarin orange, fruity aroma. Tingles. There’s a slight caramel in the malt. This is sweeter than expected.
