slightly hazy dark yellow, big spicy aroma with great pepper and some nice funk, creamy body, lots of wonderful spice flavor, touch of sweetness, long finish with some bitterness along with the spices

thin fine beige head that easily roused as large as desired and coaxed into producing some drippy lace, aroma of sweet lemon, pepper, ginger, sweet candied fruit, and other spices, lots of nice sweet fruity malt flavor, light like peaches and apricots, nice light bitterness to add some good balance

huge sweet buttery aroma, the sweet and fruity flavor has plenty of the dyactyl to cover prior spicyness,

(750ml bottle) Cloudy light copper body with small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, butterscotch, light spice. Taste is medium sweet, candi sugar, banana, some butterscotch, light alcohol. Medium body, light syrup. Very disappointing, does not seem like I got the same beer everyone else has enjoyed.

On tap at the Drafting Rooom in Exton, PA. Poured a medium and lightly hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of spices, light fruits (I got very light apple) and did I say spices. Tastes of spices, light grass and I still got a very light fruitiness. Nice and hoppy.

Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil. Mostly diminishing white head covers the hazy dark reddish orange body. Appealing indeed spicy nose. Hard to explain. It has that cookieish maltiness to form a foundation for disparate strawy, herbal and hay dryish parts that evolves in a hoppy, soapy, banana touched environment. Generous honeysuckle, lime, mint, sage, perfume whiffs. They’re all pleasant single-picked and it feels very vibrant despite the relative chaos. Soft, smooth palate, bubble gummy sweetness, perfumey spicy bitterness is of moderate to high intensity. Sweet, tart and bitter, all at once. I wonder if it would lose its excellent dynamism or moreso gain some cohesion with a few months of relaxing, but it is very lively and interesting as it is, I’d love to experiment with a few extra bottles. A good time.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy amber brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of toffee, dark fruit, black pepper, and light citrus. Flavor of dark fruits, hops, coriander, and orange peel.

Pours a lightly hazy golden bronze with a thick frothy off-white head. Semi-sweet grassy floral aroma has a touch of yeasty dough. Body starts with a toasty earthy maltiness and some mild spice toward a very dry, lightly warming crisp finish. Nice authenticity but could use a touch more sweetness.

Bottle... Murky, golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Herbal, earthy aroma with notes of butterscotch, lemon, black pepper, chicken stock and odd spices. Malty more than spicy. The well-balanced flavor is malty and lightly sweet up front, but adequately spiced and hopped to even things out. Medium-bodied and creamy with medium carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet and not-so-spicy, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Pours hazy orange with a decent off white head. Smells of straw, hay, grass, yogurt, sugar. Taste is of coriander, oranges, some mellow spices. My least favorite of their saisons.
