| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle Pours a hazy amber with a good off white head. The head is creamy and lasts well. Laces very well. Has a good aroma of suprisingly hops, caramel, fruits, some hops and rye. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good more malty than hoppy but it works. Very smooth. A good DIPA for the ones who don’t like the bitterness. Has a medium body but the alcohol could hit you. Has a sticky texture. The finish is good and a pleasing aftertaste. Not what I expected but still works. Very good. kwoeltje (1326), Manchester, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 (bottle) deep amber with almost no head. Sweetish malt and floral hops in the aroma. Slightly viscous mouthfeel, apricot hops, sweet caramel malt, flavors of dark fruit. Didn’t really notice the rye. A big beer, but somehow it doesn’t all come together. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Tap @ The He’Brew Bash at the Blind Tiger NYC. I was fricking wasted by the end so some of these rates might be a bit odd. Rum and raisin caramels and toffee on the nose. Huge hops dissipate to sweetness the a dryness in the throat. Big % is apparent, Very sweet and rich. SOAPY. manuchampions (118), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Pours an orange brown with thin head that ends in just a ring around the top. Aroma has piles of caramel, figs and some hops. Taste is biting with roasted caramel, toffee and some bread finished with a sharp hop bite that lingers well. Alcohol is apparent but not overwhelming. fidel (995), Livermore, California, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Bottle (bomber). Pours a thick dark orage with a thick, ever-lasting off-white head that leaves LOTS of lace on the glass. Aroma of... hops! Tastes quite hoppy, and very malty... that rye gives the malt some extra zing... thick, extremely full-bodied mouthfeel, almost like a barleywine. Heavy carbonation, careful when you pour as it can be deceiving. Extremely good; one of the best IIPAs I’ve ever had....
