22oz bottle - Pours copper with a good sized head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is of malts and mild fruit accents. The flavor is moderately sweet with pretty good hops balance and mild fruit notes. The pomegranate is very light in this medium bodied brew. There’s also some alcohol presence noticeable, especially in the finish, which includes some more hops bitterness. It’s good, though falls short of being a great beer.

Marietta, Ga. - Bullock’s Wine and Spirits - 22 oz bomber. Medium copper pour with a fluffy off-white head. Good lacing. Odd, hard to place aroma - vegetable-like in nature - slighlty earthy - not bad - just not pleasing. Flavor is slightly muddled and thick. Some citrusy hoppiness, a bit of maple syrup, and I note that the label says pomegranate juice...that must be the hard to identify flavor I am picking up. Mouthfeel is thick enough - not stinging like some higher abv beers of this ilk can be. Just too much going on in this one and not blended together well.

Opaque light brown/amber with 2.5cm of dense, frothy, off white head. Damn mgumby10 for putting tomato in my brain on this one- nose of well herbed tomato sauce- earthy, acidic, sharp green spice, smells past its prime. In the flavor some floral, spicy hops try to neutralize the off-ness with the help of a strong malt background. Not quite. Weird brew. Full body, balanced carbonation.

Rated 1/6/07: I quickly opened my bible and turned to Genesis chapter 10 verse 10 and read aloud as my wife and I were curious....no relevence whatsoever, no problem as I understand the whole 10th anniversary thing. At least I am rewarded with a mighty fine barleywine, American style no doubt. Fruity sweet aroma, the mouth begins to pucker a bit as I sniff the glass. Amber pour with some dark copper and ruby red tints, minimal head that quickly vanishes and no lacing. Standard feel to this one, but the finish is very calm considering the style and high abv. Nice blended flavor, high octane with the malts starts out with a biscuit taste that leads to the sweet maltiness coupled with a fair share of hops and finally finishing with a refreshing dose of fruit flavor (from the pomegranate of course). That last part really makes this unique and very interesting in a really good way. Some yeastiness towards the end, extremely enjoyable......The chosen beer eh.

A lighter pale color than expected. First and sustaining throughout the dominant though is too much alcohol. The pomegranate is not too much, but it gives it a thickness that doesn’t help it too much. Overall unimpressed.

22oz bomber. A quickly diminishing large white head sits on an orange red body. Aroma is cirtus, berries, malt, american hops, alc. Med body with carb. and a little alc burn in the finish. Flavor is very much like a pomengranate, sweet, yet sour, tangy yet alc. Bittering hops are also very prominent, as is the "luscious pomegranate juice." Very interesting, I would like to try this on tap again.

This beer was as-advertised - it is quite a "big" beer, but somehow maintains a balance between a high amount of malt and a a lot of hoppiness. I think I detected the pomegranate flavor, but I’m not sure that it really added much to the beer. The beer was a bit of a murky brown with an attractive amount of white head. Aroma was more like an IPA than anything, and was of dry-hoppiness. Flavor was big and bold balance of hop and malt. Mouthfeel was pretty good, but I didn’t find this beer to be extremely drinkable. Recommended.

22 oz bottle. Pours a very dark copper colored body, completely clear, with moderate fizzy carbonation. One finger fizzy beige head leaving heavy lacing. The aroma is full of candy sweet caramel and toffee with a noticable pomegranate juice accent. Some light alcohol fumes. Sort of a pomegranate/tea mix. The flavor is less distinctivly pomegranate accented. Just lots of sweet toffee malt and alcohol up front with a moderate hoppiness. Finishes with some fruitiness, but more like cranberry than pomegranate. Mouthfeel is quite thick and slightly syrupy. Moderate fizzy carbonation feels very forced and quite annoying. The pomegranate in this was just a gimmick, and I can accept that, but the underlying beer itself was nothing special.
