Smells of earthy, piney, and resiny hops, as well as caramel malts. Poured amber in color with a small, rocky, tan head that lasted throughout. Slight lacing. Clear and sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Sweet and malty throughout. Tastes like cookie. In the middle it gets a bit bitter before turning back to malty and sweet. Medium body. Average carbonation. Sweet and salty dry finish. Overall, a little too malty, but the salty finish helps balance that out. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Bottle: Vibrant copperish caramel, moderate to large frothy light beige head, spotty lacing, no noticeable carbonation.   Very soft floral nose, moreso a fruity aspect that I can only imagine that its the Pomegranate.   Strong malt base, very warming... the high percentage of this one is quite noticeable.   Not hot, but very very warming.   Thick malts, with a moderate hop bitterness.   Big in body, mouthfeel is sticky.   This comes across as more of a Strong Ale (American), than a Fruit Beer.   The Pomegranate is secondary to the thick/chewy malts and moderate hop bitterness.   Very interesting beer, and better than most of the other He’Brew beers I have had.   Lingering taste of grape flavored popsicle sticks.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Bomber. Poured clear copper color with a frothy off-white head that leaves light lacing. The aroma found fruits, cinnamon, and molasses. The flavor had a nice malty body (mainly caramel) mixed with dark fruits. Medium body that was sweet upfront and bitter in the end. I enjoyed and would get again. gunsho (134), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
