The beer does lace fairly well. Interesting aroma. Hints at sourness along with some floral notes. The flavor starts sweetly then takes a tangy turn. Mish mash of a bagillion malts is saved by a completely pleasant and previously not experienced version of sourness that saves the day for this beer. Unlike anything else I’ve tried. I’m pretty sure that the brewer for this company has no idea what he’s doing but has stumbled upon a couple of succesful beers. DuffMan (2757), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Cloudy amber with a towering almond head that never completely disappears and leaves generous lace. Smells great! Earthy and resinous, burnt sugar. Rich malty palate-- lots of caramel-sweet malt generating a heavy chewy mouthfeel. Pine-green bitter hop character, citrusy, with a fruit-juice sweetness that shows up mid-waythrough the swallow before being cloaked in a pleasant bitter finish. The alcohol remains completely hidden and the pomegranate well-integrated (in fact, I’d put this in the strong ale category before the fruit beer category). GOOOD! Malted milk aroma with floral notes (heather?) and light caramel. Flavor follows surprisingly dried out and with a bizarre acidic twang (presumably the pomegranate), and light sourness. Quite a bit of bitterness follows the dry, sour weird flavor - strange combo. Odd, and not something I really want to experience again. glyng (1), USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 9, 2007 I tried it to cold but over all a best bet.

Pours a hazy pale red brown with a pale pink head. Aroma of sweet malt and pomengranite (I say it tastes similar to cranberry).. Initial flavor of caramal quickly gets zapped by the semi dry and mildy tart fruit flavors. The hop bitterness offsets the fruit flavors. However, gin and grape seed flavors and texture linger on the palate. This is one is unique. Worth a visit....once. thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2007 Pour is a cloudy red with a huge foamy head. Aroma is nice with some sweet malts and a nice dose of hops. Nothing really fruity. Flavor is again malty but tart with hops making a presence. I really don’t know what pomegranate taste like but im not tasting anyhting out or the ordinary. I would not know this is a fruit beer, more of a decent APA. kwoeltje (1320), Manchester, Missouri, USA
