| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2006 22 oz bottle, fresh: clear, brown with garnet and gold hues. Fluffy off-white foam. Light malted grain aroma with fruit buried just below the surface…blueberries and red grapes mingled with fresh hop flowers and bitter orange rinds. Slightly sticky on the lips and a hint of medicinal alcohol accompanies the finish. Not bad. gearbike (420), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2006 No head or visable carbonation. This apperance might be part of the reason this is such a drinkable beer. It is sweet in a carmel way, has some hops, and obvioulsy alchol but nothing is overpowering. The malts give it some decent body. jeffc666 (1897), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Reddish amber witha small tan head. Cranberry/pomegrante malty aroma. Oddly alcoholic and bitter. The fruitiness nor maltiness that I was expecting are very subdued. Medium body with some hot alcohol properties. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Bottle. Appearance was a tan medium sized head that ended up mostly diminishing, sparse lacing, carbonation, transparent, and an orange red hue. A malty, hoppy and fruit nose. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to distinguish which fruit. Flavor was bitter, malty, caramel, and hoppy. Smooth and somewhat of a hoppy palate. Medium body. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Poured an orange color small head left some lacing to it. Aroma was resinous and a little fruity. Flavor was fruity, i would assume that is pomegrantes havn’t had them before so can’t be sure. Was sweet to start and hops in the finish. Good beer i enjoyed

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2006 This is a beautiful beer to look at. First there is a tall column of thick, creamy off-white stickiness for a head that persists over a clear, light brown body.
Sweet, very fruity aroma. Although the aroma is quite fruity, there is no distinct fruit variety noted.
Sweet with an herbal, exotic touch in the finish. I still fail to recognize anything as pomegranate. This is the first Imperial Amber ale.
Good body and hides the alcohol nicely.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 2, 2006 Bottle. Definitely better than any other high gravity fruit beer I’ve tried. At colder temps, was not as good. Upon warming to room temp., this became a nice, drinkable, malty brew w/ a good hop presence. Don’t really taste any pomegranates. Definitely better than the 72% ranking implies. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper/amber. Aroma of toasted malts and dark fuit. Taste is a good balance of hops, sweet caramel malts and fruit (pomegranate I guess, but I can’t really tell). Smooth finish with almost no hint that this is 10%.
