Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, mds and tupalev, my bottle. Clear bright reddish-amber, very small foamy off-white head. Simple aroma - light rye malt, alcohol, orange/resin hops, mild slightly sour fruit aroma (the pomegranate?), maybe a little papery. Taste follows, roastier, strong orange and other fruit sweetness, very nice (7+). Decent body, mild-moderate carbonation, slightly carbonized finish, boozy in the end. Pretty good - strong but not overpowering.

Pours copper with a white head nd lacing. Smells of lots of sage like hops, pomegratates, some dough. Tastes moderately hoppy with some sweet undertones. Lots of alcohol burn. Not sure what this is trying to be.

Pours a clear red color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of fruits and mild hops. The body is light and the carbonation is soft. Average.

Bottle. Prune, pomegranate and sharp alcohol aroma. Reddish ambe color with small head. Sweet pomegranate and malt with a moderate hops and alcohol finish. Pretty harsh.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some fruity hints. Sweet fruity malty flavor with some sour flavor from pomgranate juice. Has a dry malty and bitter finish.

pours a golden red in color with a creamy thick head that stays through the whole beer. smells of fruits, hops, some sweetness, and toffee. tastes fruit and hops that mix nicely, somewhat coats the tongue,not as much fruit as the pomegranate brew and a really nice one.

22 ounce bottle from Table and Vine in Northampton, MA (January 2007), sampled at cellar temperature from a Chouffe tulip. A massive frothy tan head refuses to die as it sits sullenly atop the clear copper-cherry liquid, lacing angrily as it eventually does disappear....the fruit is certainly present in the relatively weak aroma, along with faint caramel and light but fresh citric hops.....the body is extraordinarily sweet but highly bitter and acerbic at the same time, fruit juice mingling with lots of caramel and a bit of cola, it’s all rather a mess and not very coherently integrated....mouthfeel is syrupy, woody, chalky at the finish; alcohol only slightly noted....this is an interesting debacle, not one I’d be likely to buy again but I guess I’m not unhappy to have tried it. Somewhat hard to assign a rating here but...on the whole it’s "OK" to "good", make of that what you will.

bottle: pours an amber coour with a large off white head. aroma is sweet fresh fuits and malts with some floral hops. the flavour is sweet with a nice hop bitterness and fruit finish. there is also a nice breadiness in the flavour also. i really enjoy the blend of hops and malts in this and the slight fruit is very welcome to me.
