| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2008 Bottled. Poured a healthy shade of coppery-amber with a short, fizzy cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up toasted caramel and redder fruity notes.. hoppage was on the light side and citric in nature. The flavor was also quite malty with drawn caramel leading the way.. light grassy, dark fruit, and citrus bitterness around.. finished sweet again. Light-medium bodied and grainy at times on the palate.. bitterness showed up occasionally, but didn’t provide much good. Quite drinkable. joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours dark, fairly clear, amber with 3 cm of off-white head that is slowly diminishing. Aroma of toasty malt and some hops, balanced. Initial flavor is malty, doughy. Flavor then balances out with a solid hop presence and some alcohol. Medium body, light carbonation, light lacing, and noticeable alcohol presence. Overall, worth a try since it is basically found everywhere. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Aroma is a nice blend of malt and hops. Color is a golden amber with good carbonation and a tight off white head. Taste is smooth and hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with a rich feel. Finish comes on with a mellow sweet roasted malt flavor, then a crisp hop flavor and faint bitterness. After taste is a sweet hop flavor. This is a bold and tasty brew. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours an orange-amber with a decent creamy, off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, and a hint of floral hops. Flavor sweet, malty, caramel with a nice bitter hop finish. Pretty good beer, I will be having more. 17thfloor (1507), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2008 Pours a dark unclear rust color with a nice beige creamy froth. Complex malt aroma, kinda toasty, with a nice hop bite. Wow! A lighter bodied pale with lots of unique flavor. That wheat malt really opens it up, some nice light toastiness, light caramel sweetness and medium citrus/floral hops to balance it out. Nice bitterness. Really great smooth fizzy carbonation. Yum, but the residual sugars can get to be a bit too much after a while. Narnad (721), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Pours from the bottle copper color with very little head. Aroma is sweet malt in scent with a little fruity/sweet hops aroma. Flavor begins with the flavor of sweet barely with a little of a wheat flavor detected. The flavor then moves into a slightly less sweet and more bitter malt flavor with a touch of a floral hops flavor. It finishes a little dry and the caramel flavor hangs around on the tongue well after the beer is gone. Flavors meld together very well and create a very complex flavor. Great ale! I will definitely be looking for more of their brews. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Bottle... Poured copperish-orange with an off-white head. Aroma of earthy malt and hops. Smooth and sweet with a dryness towards the finish. Very earthy and sugary malt with a mild bitterness from some hops. scotch4281 (39), Hollywood, Florida, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2008 A new favorite! This is a great beer in the tradition of Amber Ales. Right after drinking one, I went and purchased the 6 pack so I could share it. It gives my favorite a run for its money.
